How do you turn 1 pot of succulents into 100 pots?
Gardening Encyclopedia
If you want the succulents at home to quickly go from 1 pot to 100 pots, then cuttings are absolutely essential!
Steps:
1. Choose a robust succulent, especially one that has grown leggy, and use sterilized scissors to cut off the head of the leggy succulent.
2. Absolutely do not throw away the mother plant of the beheaded succulent. Place it in a cool, ventilated spot, and before long new buds will sprout again from the spot where it was beheaded, and it will even turn into a multi-headed plant!
3. For the succulent head you cut off, pluck off the leaves at the bottom, then place the remaining part on the mouth of a plastic bottle with a little water inside the bottle, letting the lower end of the succulent just slightly touch the water. It should take about 1 week to grow roots.
4. Don't throw away the leaves you plucked off either. Just prepare a loose, breathable nutrient soil and lay the leaves flat on the soil, ready for cuttings to take root.
5. The succulent leaves being propagated by cuttings are best kept indoors in a spot with good indirect light. Absolutely do not water before they have rooted, otherwise the leaves will easily rot.
6. For those
that only grow roots and don't sprout buds
succulent leaves, you can bury the end that has grown roots into the soil and spray water onto the soil 1-2 times a week to keep the soil slightly moist, and buds will soon sprout.7. If succulent leaves only grow buds and don't grow roots, you can apply a little rooting powder to the leaves, then bury the end that has grown roots into the soil.
8. During the process of propagating succulent leaves by cuttings, if you find leaves turning black, rotting or turning to mush, be sure to remove them promptly so that the black rot doesn't infect the other healthy leaves.
9. Generally, when propagating succulent leaves by cuttings, they first grow roots and then sprout buds. By the time the small buds gradually grow larger, the mother leaf will gradually dry up.
How do you make succulents more beautiful?
Gardening Encyclopedia
If you want succulents that are plump and round and chubby, then everyday care is absolutely essential.
1. Light
Succulents basically all like direct sunlight. The longer the
sunlight hours a succulent receives, the more beautiful its color
, so it's best to place succulents on a south-facing balcony or south-facing windowsill where the sunlight hours are long.2. Water control
If you want succulents to become beautiful as quickly as possible, you must pay attention to controlling water. Water according to the humidity in your home and how breathable the succulent's soil is. In spring, Huahua basically waters only once every 1-2 weeks.
3. Outdoor growing
Generally, succulents grown outdoors are all very beautiful, because succulents grown outdoors can get plenty of sunlight, and the temperature difference between day and night is also large enough. So if you flower lovers have a yard at home, it's best to choose outdoor growing.
