Osmanthus, evergreen all year round, with a graceful and beautiful tree shape and blossoms whose fragrance wafts in all directions, is a very popular potted plant. So how should we usually grow osmanthus well? It should be discussed from these aspects

1. Soil,

Potted osmanthus likes loose, fertile, slightly acidic soil. To grow osmanthus well, you must choose fertile soil. You can use leaf mold and peat soil mixed with some large-particle river sand. On the premise of being fertile, make it as breathable as possible. You can also mix in one tenth pine needles to make the soil slightly acidic. Such soil is very suitable for the growth of osmanthus

2. Fertilizing,

Osmanthus is relatively fond of fertilizer. For fertilizing, use chemical fertilizer and compound fertilizer as little as possible. It is best to use well-fermented organic fertilizer. During the growing season, apply it once every half month. You can apply self-fermented cake fertilizer water or animal manure liquid. This kind of organic fertilizer has a slow effect and is very beneficial to the growth of osmanthus. Applying organic fertilizer can make osmanthus bloom more and be fragrant, and the leaves are not prone to drying out and turning yellow

If fertilization is insufficient, there will be few branches, few flowers, and the blooms will not be fragrant

3. Watering

Osmanthus likes sunlight, high temperatures, and air humidity of around 50%. Even in hot summer, it does not need shade. Generally during the growing season, when the soil is half dry, water it thoroughly directly. In summer, when the temperature is high and the soil dries too fast, you can water once a day. If the soil dries too fast, increase the watering frequency to ensure the soil does not lack water

4. Pinching

During the growing season of osmanthus, prune and pinch frequently to let its branches age and thicken, making the plant shape more beautiful. In autumn, apply additional phosphorus and potassium fertilizer once every half month, and applying it two to three times is enough, thereby promoting flower bud differentiation, making it bloom more, preserving flowers and buds, and keeping the leaves from turning yellow

Do these points well, and in autumn the osmanthus will bloom especially abundantly, densely covered with flowers, with fragrance overflowing for ten li
