There are many differences between them. First, they belong to different families and genera: the Peace Tree belongs to the Lauraceae family, Cinnamomeae tribe, Cinnamomum genus, while the Money Tree belongs to the Malvaceae family, Pachira genus. Second, their heights differ: the Peace Tree can grow to 15 m, while the Money Tree only reaches 4 to 5 m. Finally, their symbolic meanings and habits are also different.

I. The two belong to different families and genera

1. Money Tree

The Money Tree belongs to the Dicotyledoneae class, Archichlamydeae subclass, Malvales order, Malvaceae family, Pachira genus. It is a small evergreen tree species.

2. Peace Tree

Although the Peace Tree also belongs to the Dicotyledoneae class, in finer classification it is Ranunculales order, Lauraceae family, Cinnamomeae tribe, Cinnamomum genus, which differs from the former. But it is likewise a small evergreen tree.

II. The two differ in tree morphology

1. Money Tree

The Money Tree grows about 5 m tall, its crown is not compact and appears extremely loose, the branchlets tend toward a brown-chestnut color, and its leaves have no petiole or a relatively short one, with a shape close to oblong. In addition, the flowers sitting on the branches are in a solitary axillary state, the pedicel is very thick, the flower color is somewhat pale yellow, and the shape is like a lanceolate. After the flowers fade, capsules grow out, somewhat pear-shaped, and the seeds inside are irregularly trapezoidal. Its normal flowering period is 4 months, specifically from May to November, after which the fruits gradually ripen and the seeds slowly scatter on the ground and grow naturally.

2. Peace Tree

The Peace Tree grows up to 15 m tall and appears exceptionally upright. Its leaves, branches and bark carry no fragrance, the branches are brown in color, and the leaves are thick and large, extremely green on top and highly metallic in luster. At the base of the leaf, three veins emerge in succession, forming a network, extremely prominent. Its flowering time is June to July, and after the flowers fade, it enters August to September, which is its fruiting time.

III. The two have different symbolic meanings

1. Money Tree

From its name we know it represents the meaning of wealth, and keeping it at home will attract wealth.

2. Peace Tree

Its meaning is to bless people with a lifetime of peace, family happiness and other good wishes.

IV. The two have different habits

1. Money Tree

It likes warm and humid places, and also a semi-shady environment. The most suitable temperature is between 20 and 30 degrees, and usually in summer the Money Tree grows best. In winter, growth begins to slow down, and at this time the temperature must not be lower than 5 degrees; between 18 and 20 degrees normal growth can be maintained. It is also afraid of cold and moisture, so try to keep it in a drier place.

2. Peace Tree

It likes conditions with plenty of sunlight, and a temperature generally between 20 and 30 is most suitable. It does not like places with much wind, snow and fog, and it is neither drought-tolerant nor moisture-tolerant, so it is not very easy to grow.
