Grow aloe this way and one plant becomes ten, with so many pups the pot can't hold them all

Aloe can purify the air. It's a perennial herbaceous plant that's even easier to grow than snake plant, asparagus fern, or spider plant, and it propagates more easily too, making it a true lazy person's plant.

You basically don't need to buy one. If a friend or relative has an aloe, just break off a small pup or shoot, and even if it has few roots, plant it casually in potting soil and it will quickly grow roots and survive. It grows like crazy. How do you get newly planted aloe to grow vigorously?

1. Spring and autumn, when temperatures are neither too high nor too low, are the right time to plant aloe, and also its vigorous growth period. In spring you can fertilize several times: decomposed chicken manure fertilizer or soybean cake fertilizer, diluted with water and poured on. In summer no fertilizing is needed.

2. When planting aloe, leave the leaves and stem above the soil and don't cover them with too thick a layer of soil. If the soil is moist, no watering is needed after planting; wait until the soil is completely dry, and even then no watering is needed right away. Then when the soil dries out, water thoroughly once.

3. If your aloe has been kept indoors for a long time, occasionally take it to a windowsill to get some sun, so its leaves can grow sturdier.

4. Aloe can be placed outside, grown outdoors on a terrace, but when it rains be careful not to let water collect in the pot. When temperatures drop, when there's frost, or when it snows, move it promptly to an indoor balcony, otherwise the leaves will get frostbitten or even turn to mush.

5. If you want lots of aloe pups and a pot bursting with growth, add some nutrient-rich leaf mold or potting soil to the pot, then add some coarse sand and coal cinders to increase aeration and drainage.

6. Except in the peak of summer, give it plenty of sun. Water it occasionally when you remember. It's fairly drought-tolerant, and as long as it isn't dry for too long, it'll be fine. Getting a pot bursting with growth is very easy.

7. You can repot once every two years, replacing the soil with fresh, fertile, loose soil when you do.

8. If you want to turn one pot of aloe into many pots, divide a single aloe plant and you can grow many pots from it.

Within half a year, the new aloes will again grow into bursting pots.
