There are many varieties of roses with different colors, including red, purple, yellow, pink, blue, and bicolor flowers. But there is one bicolor rose whose flowers are like colorful clouds in the sky, appearing very beautiful and moving. Everyone who sees it will be reluctant to leave. Its name is the Caiyun rose.

The Caiyun rose is a hybrid variety among roses, with each flower displaying multiple colors from the outside to the inside, just like a rainbow. It has strong vitality, blooms easily, produces many large flowers, tolerates pruning well, and has strong disease resistance, making it most suitable for balcony or courtyard cultivation.

Roses have large and numerous flowers and need a lot of fertilizer, so they should be fertilized generously, and sufficient organic fertilizer should be applied before budding. For potted roses, the pot can be changed once in early spring with sufficient base fertilizer applied, especially after the peak bloom in May, when fertilizer should be applied promptly to encourage summer and autumn blooming. During the growing season, roses should receive full sunlight, preferably maintaining 6 hours of light per day. If kept indoors for viewing, they should be moved in before 11 AM and moved out before 4 PM, so they receive the soft light around midday, which helps prolong the flowering period. Roses enter a semi-dormant state above 33°C, and growth is most favorable at an average temperature of 20-25°C, so in summer appropriate shading and frequent water spraying should be carried out. To lower the temperature and replenish moisture, during the growing season it is best to spray water once in the morning and once in the afternoon to create a humid environment and promote the growth of flowers and leaves.

After roses bloom, they should be cut below the third compound leaf beneath the flower to encourage strong new branches and early bud formation and blooming. The key points of pruning technique are: weak short branches should be pruned first and high; healthy branches should be pruned later and short, to promote the weak and suppress the strong, encouraging uniform blooming. The pruning length of long branches should not exceed 1/2, to avoid slow germination of axillary buds. In addition, too many flowers should not be retained per flush; for potted roses, 3-5 flowers are appropriate, while for ground-planted roses it depends on the plant's vigor. Retaining too many flowers disperses nutrients too much, resulting in small flowers and affecting the next flush of blooms. During growth, roses may develop diseases such as black spot and powdery mildew, which can be controlled by spraying solutions such as mancozeb, chlorothalonil, carbendazim, and thiophanate-methyl once every half month to reduce the occurrence of diseases.
