Succulents not growing? Learn these methods to easily propagate a whole pot

When succulents grow slowly, you can water them with rainwater, so collect some rainwater regularly. Use rainwater to water your succulents. Of course, the water temperature must not be lower than 8°, otherwise it will freeze and damage their roots. Succulents grown outdoors grow two to three times faster than indoor succulents. So if you have the conditions, let your succulents get as much sunlight as possible, especially in winter and in spring and autumn. And it is best if the outdoor temperature is between 10 and 25°. It is best to keep succulents outdoors so they receive unobstructed sunlight.
There are many factors that keep seedlings from growing, but the main and most common ones are too little water and no light. Lack of water is a big problem. Many beginners are so scared that they dare not water their succulents, so they dare not water their sown seeds or their seedlings either. In fact, seedlings must be watered. To what extent? The soil surface must not dry out. Even once they grow true leaves, it can only be said that after growing true leaves they become slightly more drought-tolerant.
Changes in season and climate can cause new leaves of succulents to become smaller. In summer, succulent growth becomes slow or even stops, and the newly grown leaves will be a bit smaller than the original leaves. This is normal and you do not need to worry too much. As time goes on, these new leaves will gradually grow larger, and there will not be an unnatural phenomenon of a huge size difference between new and old leaves.
But in fact, there is no need to deliberately worry about the size of succulent leaves. As long as you give your succulents a stable environment suitable for their growth and help them eliminate diseases and pests, they will grow the leaf size that suits them best, with the most beautiful appearance, and there will not be the slightest size difference between leaves.
For leaf-cutting propagation of succulents, that is, leaves taken from the succulent plant, the leaves must be healthy and free of pests and diseases to easily take root and sprout. Place the succulent flat on the soil surface with the front side facing up. The leaf does not need to be inserted into the soil, and do not water it. Just make sure the soil does not get too dry. Put it in a shaded, ventilated place, and avoid rain and stuffy heat.
Leaf cuttings are not only one of the main methods of succulent propagation, but also one of the great joys of growing succulents, and compared with pollination and sowing, they are much simpler. After the Beginning of Spring, the temperature gradually rises, and a temperature between 10-25 degrees is more suitable for leaf cuttings. If you are taking leaves from a very robust plant, do not take them right after watering; wait until it has dried slightly, as the leaves will then be easier to remove. When removing the leaf, hold the leaf firmly and move it left and right, taking it off carefully.
