Peperomia green hydroponic growing method: this is the easiest way to keep it alive

Peperomia is a potted green plant very popular among office workers, compact and stylish. The Peperomia we commonly see is mostly soil-grown, but you may not know that many people also grow Peperomia hydroponically.
Hydroponically grown Peperomia has a fresh and distinctive look, placed in a corner of the desk, with a unique charm.
I. Hydroponic timing
Peperomia can be grown hydroponically all year round, but April-May in spring is the best time. That's right, that means now!
II. Operation steps
1) Take a soil-grown plant of appropriate shape, wash the soil off the roots with clean water, and prune the dead roots;
2) Soak the prepared Peperomia roots in a 0.05% potassium permanganate solution for 10 minutes;
3) Then plant the plant in a container with a hydroponic basket, pour in clean water, with the water level covering one third of the roots.
III. Hydroponic care
1) When first starting hydroponics in April and May, change the water once a day, clean off the sticky substance produced on the roots, for about 10 days; after new fibrous roots grow, change the water once every 2-3 days.
2) For watering Peperomia, river water, rainwater, or sun-dried tap water can generally be used; well water is generally not used.
3) Compared with other hydroponic plants, Peperomia needs fewer nutrients and basically does not need fertilizing; water that is too nutrient-rich can easily cause microorganisms to breed in the water, which is not good for plant growth.
4) It does not have high light requirements, and after new fibrous roots grow, Peperomia is relatively simple to care for. When the air is dry, spray more water on the leaves; in winter, avoid frost.
5) Peperomia has few pests and diseases; the diseases that generally appear are all caused by improper care and an unsuitable environment, and it can gradually recover after adjustments. The main pest is red spider mite damage, but it can be prevented by maintaining relatively high air humidity; when it occurs, it can be controlled by wiping the leaves with a damp cloth or spraying a targeted pesticide.
