Different windowsills suit different plants, and putting the right plant in the right spot makes it easy to grow into a full, lush pot

Everyone who loves growing flowers knows that light has a huge effect on the growth of potted plants, and when growing flowers at home, windowsills facing different directions give different results.
South-facing windowsill
1. Jasmine
As everyone knows, jasmine loves light extremely much. It will still bloom on other windowsills, but compared with a south-facing windowsill it is much less impressive. The most suitable temperature for jasmine to bloom is around 28 degrees. Pay attention to ventilation, watering and nutrients, and jasmine will bloom more and more beautifully.
2. Rose (Rosa chinensis)
The more sun the rose gets, the more beautiful it is. Even in the colorful summer, sun exposure is not a problem for roses. They can be placed outdoors directly for care. Apply more phosphorus fertilizer before flowering, and just pay attention to pruning after flowering.
3. Petunia
Petunia super loves light. Without light it stubbornly refuses to bloom. In summer it does not need shading either; it is heat-tolerant and sun-tolerant. But petunia does not like humid environments, so when watering you must water only when the soil is dry, otherwise it is prone to root rot and leggy growth.
North-facing windowsill
1. Spider plant (Chlorophytum comosum)
Spider plant likes diffused light for care. It grows best and fastest at around 25 degrees. For daily care, just water when the soil is dry and pay attention to ventilation. As the spider plant grows and its root system becomes well developed, it should be repotted in time.
2. Snake plant (Sansevieria)
Snake plant is not tolerant of... it is shade-tolerant and likes to grow in a diffused-light environment. Too strong light instead makes the leaf color worse. It is best kept between 20~30 degrees. Pay attention to ventilation, and do not let water accumulate when watering.
3. Maidenhair fern (Adiantum)
Maidenhair fern is a plant that is relatively shade-tolerant and averse to water accumulation. It likes a cool and humid environment. During the growing period it needs daily watering to maintain moisture, and when watering you need to avoid the leaves. Maidenhair fern likes calcium; adding a small amount of lime or crushed eggshells at the edge of the potting soil is beneficial to its growth.
East- and west-facing windowsill
1. Gardenia
An east- or west-facing windowsill has good light and will not get too hot from the sun. Gardenia likes cool and humid places, and also needs light to bloom, so growing it facing east or west is very suitable. When caring for it, keep the soil and water on the acidic side, and just keep the potting soil moist.
2. Pennywort (Hydrocotyle vulgaris)
Pennywort likes sunlight very much. If it is placed on a south-facing windowsill for care, and if there is no proper shading, it will cause the leaves to become smaller, so an east or west windowsill is more suitable. If grown well, growing into a full pot is absolutely certain.
3. Clivia
Clivia does not like strong light exposure, but it needs light to bloom, so placing it on an east- or west-facing windowsill for care is most suitable. For care, keep the potting soil moist and often wipe the leaves. In fact, most plants that are averse to strong light exposure are easy to grow into full pots when placed on an east- or west-facing windowsill for care.
