Can lucky bamboo with golden edges be grown in water? The water-growing method is very simple

It can be grown in water. During this process, make sure the water covers it to a depth of 15 cm. Right after starting water cultivation, do not change the water frequently, and do not move its position often, but you can rotate the vase. Once it grows white roots, it means it has entered a normal growth state.

I. Water-growing method

1. First, it can be grown in water, as long as you make sure the water covers it to about 15 cm. When growing it in water, the area where you place it is very important: there should be light, but it should not be too bright, and it should not be placed directly under the sun for long periods. Especially in the heat of summer, the sun can easily scorch it.

2. If it has just been started in water not long ago, do not change the water frequently, as this is actually bad for it; at the very least, wait twelve days before changing the water once. Choose bamboo with very emerald-green, upright leaves, and do not chase after having many leaves; too many leaves actually consume the nutrients in the water more easily, and the leaves below are then prone to turning yellow, so you need to remove them promptly and clean them off.

3. You must not frequently move its position, because every time it is moved, it needs to adapt all over again. You can rotate the bottle on schedule, so that its light exposure becomes more even, which is better for its growth. If the humidity in the room is not enough, you can spray it with water once every half day. Once it grows white roots, it means it can successfully survive.

II. How to carry out daily care when growing in water

1. Temperature

It can withstand very cold temperatures; 2-3°C is fine. But it grows best at 20-28°C. In winter, be careful to protect it from frost damage; if it is too cold, it will get frozen and injured, and then it easily withers and dies.

2. Light

As a shade-loving plant, semi-shade conditions are most favorable for its growth. It must not be placed under blazing sun for long periods, otherwise it easily turns yellow and its growth rate becomes extremely slow.

3. Water quality

When growing it hydroponically, you must not use tap water that has not been left to settle, because the chlorine in it will harm it, and it will then have difficulty entering a normal growth state.

4. Fertilizing

It is fairly tolerant of fertilizer, and generally every two to three months you need to use fertilizer to supplement its nutrients. If it is grown hydroponically, you need to add some monopotassium phosphate every half month when changing the water, so that it can obtain sufficient nutrients.
