This plant does not have high demands for soil. In fact, sandy soil, coal cinders and nutrient soil are all very suitable for it, and the very common leaf mold found in the wild also works well. Let us take a closer look.

1. Sandy soil

Sandy soil has excellent air permeability and drainage. Growing it in sandy soil can effectively prevent root rot. If you use heavy clay for it, its roots will rot very easily. So sandy soil is a very good choice for it.

2. Coal cinders

In fact, coal cinders are also very good stuff, and it can live well in them. The only thing is that we need to do one thing first, which is to soak them for three days, and each time we soak them we need to change the water. The main purpose of this is to remove the fiery nature, but we cannot use only coal cinders. Generally we still need to mix in a relatively small amount of soil, and of course loess soil also works.

3. Leaf mold

Leaf mold is actually also a very good soil, but we cannot use only this one kind of soil either. It can be mixed with the top layer of soil from a vegetable garden, and then a small amount of sand added. In this way it becomes a very good soil mix. If we can add bone meal or compound fertilizer to it, that would be even better.

4. Nutrient soil

Nutrient soil is also very good. Generally, if we use this kind of soil together with a clay pot, it can grow very well. In fact, there is no need to use too fine a pot, because a fine pot does not mean it can grow well.

5. Others

In summary, this plant has quite diverse choices when it comes to soil, because it is not very particular about soil. In addition, we still need to give it a certain amount of light, about eight or nine hours a day. Besides that, watering is also necessary, and fertilizing is even more indispensable. Only when all of these are satisfied can it live up to the soil's expectations and grow at a very good rate.
