Cherries are delicious but the tree is hard to grow; only with good saplings can you have more cherries than you can eat

Cherries are round and red, like a mini little apple, and their taste is very good too, not too sour and not so sweet as to be cloying, so cherries count as a fairly popular fruit. Since we don't have rural farms like they do abroad, and the footprint of a ground-floor home isn't especially large, we basically have no arable land we can use freely, so private cherry tree growing is relatively rare, but that doesn't stop us from learning how to grow cherry trees. Who knows, maybe in the future you'll be able to buy a big house and plant one in the backyard? You always have to have dreams - what if they come true?

1. Although when people ate cherries before, some said you can keep the pit in the center of the cherry, wash it clean, bury it in the soil, and after waiting a while a small sapling will grow, I have never tried it and don't know whether it works. Even if it is theoretically possible, in practice, never mind how hard it is for the pit to grow roots underground - it might be corroded by insects in the soil before the roots are fully grown - even if it safely grows a full root system, it still has to break through layer after layer of soil to reach the surface. So this process is very difficult, not only difficult but also long, not only long but also full of uncertainty; you simply don't know whether this pit can actually grow into a big tree, and you don't know how long you will have to wait.

2. So it is still advisable to buy a cherry sapling at a proper market, then dig a small hole in a place you can tend to; the hole is best made slightly deeper, bury the sapling in it, then fill it with soil, making sure the sapling fits firmly against the earth. Of course, it must not be too firm, with no air at all; in short, it should be neither too tight nor too loose, and you just need to control the degree well when firming the soil.

3. Cherry trees are still quite easy to keep alive and have strong adaptability to the environment; basically you don't need to water them frequently, and as long as the soil is not so dry that it cracks, the cherry tree can hold on. So basically, watering once or twice or three times a week is already completely enough. However, when choosing a planting site, it is best to choose a place with relatively fertile soil, which is good for the cherry tree's growth and also saves you the inconvenience of fertilizing.

After the cherry tree has grown for a few years, it can basically become a big tree, and before long you will see it bear fruit. But when picking the fruit, you must be careful not to break the cherry tree's branches. Even if you pick with a bamboo pole, don't just thrash at it wildly, otherwise you won't get to eat so many delicious cherries the next year.
