How to water the blue-eyed daisy (Arctotis)? The correct method explained clearly in one go
1. Watering time
The most suitable watering time differs from season to season. For example, summer is quite hot, so it is not suitable to water at noon when the sun is scorching; generally the cooler morning and evening are best. Spring and autumn are cooler and drier, so watering at 9 a.m., 3 p.m. or in the evening is more suitable, while in winter watering at noon is better.
2. Watering method
For the blue-eyed daisy, it does not like an overly humid environment, so it should not be watered too frequently, but do not wait until the soil it grows in is completely dry before watering either. Water thoroughly each time; do not just moisten the surface layer of soil while the soil at the roots remains dry, as this cannot ensure the roots absorb enough water and the plant will still die.
After watering, the blue-eyed daisy is best placed in a ventilated, shady spot, not in direct sunlight, to avoid water and nutrients evaporating too quickly and making its growing environment dry. In addition, when watering, pour into the flowerpot and try not to let water touch the stems and other parts, otherwise over time this will cause the stems to rot, which is bad for its growth.
3. Points to note
The soil it likes is characterized by good drainage. When watering, do not let water accumulate in the pot, otherwise it will inhibit root respiration. Long-term oxygen deprivation at the roots not only prevents the plant from absorbing nutrients but also causes root rot. If you add too much water at one time, promptly pour out the excess water, or directly change the soil, so that its roots do not rot from being soaked in water.
