Don't throw away sprouted ginger - it's easier to grow than lucky bamboo, and it's tall, green and edible too

Ginger is an indispensable seasoning in our daily life. In fact, before it is harvested, its leaves and stems look quite similar to lucky bamboo. Ginger is usually planted in April. Today Huahua will teach everyone how to grow a pot of ginger from the ginger at home that looks just as good as lucky bamboo!

Throw a piece of ginger from the cutting board into some soil, and it will be even prettier than lucky bamboo

Steps:

1. Sprouting: Put the ginger in a dark place, bury it in sandy soil, water it thoroughly, then cover it with a layer of plastic wrap. The temperature inside the pot will rise, and it will sprout in a week. Ginger that has already sprouted can skip this step.

2. Take a piece of sprouted ginger, with the sprout facing up and the body facing down, and bury it in the soil.

3. The pot for planting ginger must have drainage holes. The soil can be made by mixing garden soil and river sand at a ratio of 3:1.

4. After planting the ginger, water it thoroughly and place it in a ventilated spot without direct sunlight. Keep the soil moist and water it once every 3 to 5 days.

5. After about a month, the ginger will grow green leaves, and then it will slowly grow taller.

6. In the end, the ginger we eat will grow like this, and it will also give off a faint fragrance!

Ginger is usually planted in spring and harvested in autumn. Planting ginger around Qingming is just right. By autumn, if you want to eat your potted ginger, you can do that too.

How does one onion turn into two?

Got onions at home that you can't finish eating and are just waiting to rot? Don't! Today Huahua will teach everyone how to grow an onion as a potted plant, so that we can eat both the onion bulb and the onion greens!

Steps:

1. Cut off the bottom of the onion and leave it in a cool, ventilated place to dry for 1 to 2 days.

2. Take a relatively small flower pot, fill it with two-thirds soil. The soil can be made by mixing peat soil and river sand at a ratio of 1:1, then water it thoroughly.

3. Bury the dried onion bottom in the soil with the roots facing down, then fill in the remaining one-third of the soil.

4. Place the pot in a ventilated place. In about a week, the seedlings will break through the soil. After that, place it in a spot with plenty of sunlight to promote the growth of the onion seedlings. When the soil dries out, just spray a little water with a small spray bottle.

5. An onion can grow at least two onion seedlings. Once they grow a little taller, you can take them out of the pot and divide them. Take the onion seedlings out of the pot and clean the soil off the roots.

6. Use a sterilized knife to separate the two plants. Take two other flower pots and fill them with loose, breathable nutrient soil for planting.

7. Be sure to place the two new pots of onion seedlings in a spot with plenty of sunlight and care for them attentively. When they dry out, spray a little water with a spray bottle. And just like that, two pots of onions are done!

These two methods that Huahua introduced

I wonder if everyone has learned them

Why not get hands-on and give them a try right away!
