Many flower lovers think: if you can grow flowers, you should choose one that blooms 365 days a year. So, flower lovers must be thinking: is there really such a flower? Yes, and this flower is very easy to grow, simply a little blooming elf; once it blooms, it fills a whole large pot.

This flower is the little hibiscus (Hibiscus syriacus). Planting the little hibiscus is very simple, and flower lovers can also do it through cuttings. Choose the little hibiscus branches to be planted, preferably when the soil is on the dry side.

Soak the base of the cut little hibiscus branches in a 1000-fold dilution of rooting powder for 3-5 seconds, then insert them into the soil; cover with plastic film to keep warm and moist for several months, and they can be transplanted into pots, placed in soil, gently compacted, and given plenty of water. After potting, place in a cool place for one week, then move to a sunny spot for normal care. One month after potting, apply light fertilizer frequently, and it can bloom that same year.

In addition, the little hibiscus likes moisture and fears waterlogging. During the flowering period, if the soil is relatively dry, water the plant immediately. After the Start of Autumn, water once more to improve the little hibiscus's cold resistance.

The little hibiscus likes a warm growing environment with plenty of light, and is slightly shade-tolerant, so let it see more sunlight. It can tolerate cold relatively well, and its suitable growing temperature is 15-28°C.

When planting the little hibiscus, apply organic fertilizer before moving it into the pot, such as water-soluble fertilizer. During the growing season, apply fertilizer twice a month, following the principle of "apply little and apply lightly." To increase the number of flowers and improve the flower variety, before the plant blooms in summer, apply additional fertilizer to hibiscus with poor growth.

The little hibiscus has strong sprouting ability and can withstand pruning. In late autumn, promptly cut off dense branches, weak branches, etc., to reduce nutrient consumption. To cultivate a clustered potted little hibiscus, flower lovers can truncate the trunk in the second spring to encourage new branches to sprout from the base. In winter, it is best to prune the branches to about 1.5 m high, then prune once more in March, but do not prune too much.
