Put pine bark in the pot: 10 years of growing flowers without root rot, and new shoots grow like crazy
Growing flowers with pine bark
Fresh pine bark:
1. Fresh pine bark cannot be used directly; it must be decomposed first.
2. Cut the fresh pine bark into small pieces and put them in a plastic bag, add clean water, squeeze out the air, then seal it and place it in a warm place to decompose. It will be fully decomposed in about three months.
3. Take out the decomposed pine bark and let it dry, then bag it for storage. Before use, soak it in water first, then place it at the bottom of the pot as a base fertilizer or on the soil surface; it can retain water and improve airflow.
Dry pine bark:
1. Pine bark that looks like it has been dry for many years does not need to be decomposed again, because nature has already completed this process.
2. Chop the dry pine bark into pieces, put it in the sun to bake for sterilization and disinfection, then place it at the bottom of the pot, or use it as a top dressing.
Note:
1. If the pine bark has already rotted, do not use it. Placed in a flower pot, it easily clogs the pot, affects airflow, and may contain bacteria, which is bad for the flowers.
2. Pine bark is very suitable for growing orchids, so flower lovers may want to give it a try.
Growing flowers with willow bark
Fresh willow bark:
1. Fresh willow bark can be boiled in water before use.
2. Cut the willow bark into 1~2cm pieces, then put them in a pot, add water and boil.
3. Boil until the water turns black, which shows that the nutrients in the willow bark have been released.
4. Let the boiled willow bark water cool, then mix it with water at 1:8, and use it to water flowers.
5. The substances in willow bark help promote rooting, so using it to water flowers can promote plant rooting and sprouting. Below is a Phalaenopsis that has been watered with it.
Dry willow bark:
1. Dry willow bark and willow branches can both be used for growing flowers. First cut them into 1~2cm small pieces.
2. Put them in the sun to bake, or soak them in a carbendazim solution for half an hour to disinfect them.
3. Put the treated willow bark at the bottom of the flower pot; it improves drainage and airflow and promotes rooting.
Note:
Whether it is pine or willow, we must not deliberately damage trees just to get bark~
Growing flowers with cinnamon powder
1. Although cinnamon powder is a food ingredient, it is essentially bark too. Ground cinnamon powder can be used for growing flowers and has a sterilizing and insect-repelling effect.
2. Dig a small hole in the potting soil, pour in some cinnamon powder, and it can effectively drive away ants.
Growing flowers with peanut shells
1. You can set peanut shells on fire and burn them, then crush the burned peanut shells and mix them directly into the soil; this can make the flower roots grow stronger.
2. You can also decompose peanut shells before use.
①Put the peanut shells into a sealed bag, add water, then place them in the sun to decompose.
②After half a month, the peanut shells turn black and are fully decomposed.
③Dry the decomposed peanut shells; mixing them with sandy soil will have a very good water-retaining and air-permeable effect.
Alright, that is what Huahua will teach everyone today!
