Fine, just call me lazy! In short, I do not have that much attention to spare for their care, but I still really love growing plants and flowers. So what should I do?

Today I am recommending a few potted plants for "lazy" gardening friends that do well with rough, minimal care. You do not need to put much effort into tending them for them to grow very well.

1. Succulents

If you want a sense of achievement, grow succulents. There are all kinds of adorable succulents, and they are strong at self-propagation. Even if you do not water them for a month, they will still live just fine. Trailing types such as string of beads and string of tears easily fill their pots to bursting.

2. Jade plant

Where I am from, people call the jade plant "meat tree." As the name suggests, its leaves are very thick and give a fleshy impression. The jade plant can be said to do best the more roughly it is managed. If you are always thinking about watering and fertilizing it, it is instead very likely to turn on you and drop dead on you at any moment.

The jade plant can be said to be the first potted plant Yaoyao kept alive. It was planted directly in plain mud (garden soil) and placed in the yard. I never watered it and never fertilized it. It simply lived off the essence of the sun and moon, growing from a seedling the size of a finger into a large pot full.

3. Snake plant

The snake plant is also a very easy plant to keep alive. It tolerates shade and cold, and it propagates easily too. It is a great potted plant for the bedroom or office. It does not need to be specially taken out to sun, and it does not need special pest control or pruning. It can grow extremely well all on its own!

4. Geranium

The geranium is an ornamental plant that likes warmth and slight moisture, and it needs fairly good light. It is not cold-tolerant, but it is relatively drought-tolerant and does not need frequent watering, making it very suitable for lazy people to care for. Remember a few points and you can grow it well: do not expose it to blazing sun; shade it appropriately; control watering; and keep it warm in winter and cool in summer.

5. Desert rose

This is a variety I personally like quite a lot. It belongs to the tropical desert plants, and now it can also grow very well as a potted plant. Its roots can store a lot of water, so in winter watering once every 2-3 months is fine, and with plenty of sunlight it will grow very well.

6. Peace lily

The peace lily is a potted plant very suitable for growing indoors, and it is extremely easy to care for. It can be said that with just a little water it will flourish. Peace lilies can be grown in soil or hydroponically. If grown in soil, the soil needs good drainage. Indoors, you only need to place it in a spot with diffused light. When you see the leaves looking a bit soft, water it and it immediately perks right up.

Peace lilies dislike strong, blazing sunlight. Yaoyao's peace lily was placed on the windowsill to drain after watering, and I forgot to bring it back in. As a result, one morning of sun sent it off to see the Buddha. Truly tears streaming down....
