Is the azalea suitable for growing in the bedroom?

Flowers & Gardening 0 views
Many flower lovers choose to buy azaleas, wanting to enjoy them while also having them absorb some of the bad air, and some even want to move them into the bedroom. Actually, this is not a good idea, because placing it there is simply unsuitable. First, it is toxic; second, it will compete with people for oxygen; and besides that, its own growth is not suited to such an environment. So next, let us properly explain the relevant reasons.

1. Toxic

Not all species are toxic; only some of them are. If you cannot be sure, it is best not to put it in the place where you sleep.

2. Oxygen

At night, in the dark, it cannot carry out photosynthesis, yet respiration is still essential, so it needs oxygen. At the same time, people also need oxygen, and in a room of a certain size there is only so much oxygen; when the two compete, one side must lose out. So the best approach is still not to put it in the place where you sleep.

In addition, if you want to place some flowers and plants in there, it is best to choose those that can absorb bad gases, and whose fragrance is not strong and will not have any bad effect on people. Moreover, some plants even produce oxygen at night, and that is the best of all. And if we insist on growing it inside, we still need to pay attention to ventilation, because only then will it not have any bad effect on people.

3. Environment

Because it is indoors, many environmental issues need attention, especially for people on different floors. If the floor is relatively low, the environment is bound to be relatively dark, so it is best to grow plants that prefer shade, while on higher floors you should put sun-loving ones. This plant counts as the latter, so if there is no suitable lighting condition, do not grow it lightly, otherwise it will not grow well either. And if you do grow it, it is best to put it on a balcony facing the southeast, since only in that spot can it get enough sunlight.
