Reasons Why Orange Jessamine Does Not Bloom and Solutions
1. Its flowering period
Generally speaking, its flowering period is concentrated around July to October. If it does not bloom at all during this period, then it can basically be proven that there is a problem with our care. The specific causes fall into the following categories.
2. Light problem
If it is kept in a semi-shaded or completely shaded place for a long time, growing without facing sunlight for a long time, then it is very normal for it not to bloom. Even if it does bloom, the flowers will be very few, and the fragrance of the flowers will be faint. Therefore, placing it in a spot with good light is very necessary. Do not worry about too long a light period; this is a very light-loving species. Moreover, light is absolutely necessary for it to bloom.
3. Temperature problem
Only with suitable temperature can it bloom and bloom more. During its flowering period, most regions have not yet reached the period of very low temperatures. However, in some regions the temperature has already begun to drop, or the flowering period has been delayed, so the temperature issue must be considered. Keeping it at 20 to 25 degrees is more suitable.
4. Water and fertilizer problem
If there is a problem with these two aspects, whether too much or too little, it may cause the plant not to bloom. For water, keep the soil moist, but not waterlogged. For fertilizer, applying fertilizer once a week is enough. The concentration must not be too high. Also, during the bud stage, give more fertilizer containing P and K.
5. Pest and disease problem
Being infected by disease, or pests, will affect its blooming. So what we need to do is discover it in time, and then prevent and treat it.
