Some flower lovers are quite fond of growing this plant. The plant was fairly healthy at first, but then some brown spots appeared on the leaves, and they cannot help but worry that the whole plant will be harmed. So how exactly should this problem be handled?

1. Symptoms

Round or irregularly shaped spots gradually appear on the plant's leaves. They are relatively small, roughly 1 mm to several mm, and look yellowish-brown, with some being dark brown. Without exception, these brown spots are surrounded by a yellow halo, and these patches are formed by brown spots merging together. In severe cases, entire leaves are covered with these dreadful things, the leaves also change, and then they drop off easily.

2. Causes

It can be said that the main cause is a fungus known as Deuteromycotina fungi, together with various other fungi, either alone or mixed together, damaging the plant. These pathogens overwinter on diseased leaves in the form of mycelium or fruiting bodies, and then spread by wind and rain. It is usually caused by poor air circulation at the planting site or by consistently warm and rainy weather.

3. Methods

1 The first step is to quickly pick off all these diseased leaves, gather them all together and burn them, so as to prevent further spread of the fungus.

2 Prevention and control. You can regularly spray the branches and leaves with a 600 to 800 times dilution of Guoguang Yintai, plus Guoguang Sitaling, so as to effectively prevent disease while also supplying nutrients.

3 If it is at the very early stage of disease and not yet too serious, you can spray the branches and leaves with a 500 to 600 times dilution of 25% prochloraz emulsifiable concentrate or a 400 to 600 times dilution of 50% mancozeb wettable powder. Use it 2 to 3 times in a row, once every week.
