Reasons for Dry Tips on Variegated Spider Plant Leaves and How to Fix Them
1. Light
1 If the problem is light, there are two possible situations. One is too much light: it likes to grow under not-too-intense light, so if it is exposed to direct sunlight in summer and autumn, its leaf tips easily wither, and at this time you need to shade it from 50% to 70% of the light.
2 The second situation is just the opposite, namely too little light. If it is kept in a rather shady place for a long time, its leaves easily lose their gloss and may even wither. It is best to avoid direct sunlight in spring and autumn; in summer, only let it receive a little slanting sunlight in the morning or evening, but in winter it should get more light.
2. Fertilizer
If the fertilizer supplied is not sufficient, it easily ages, and the leaves also start to turn yellow, at which point it completely loses its ornamental value. So you can add fertilizer once every week, but for this variegated variety, it is best to apply less nitrogen fertilizer.
3. Water
This plant likes moisture very much, so we should often check whether the potting soil has moisture and whether it stays moist. In autumn, maintain sufficient moisture; especially before noon, after noon and in the evening, you should spray a little water on the branches and leaves, which can prevent the leaves from drying out. If there is a lot of dust on the plant, it greatly affects its growth and also its appearance, so we should spray water often to keep the branches and leaves vivid. The leaves below that have already dried out should be picked off. Generally, just keep its humidity normal; it should not be too dry, but it also must not be too moist.
