If you put your plants in the wrong spot, even growing them for over a decade is wasted effort

When growing flowers at home, there is a right way to place every plant. Today, Huahua will introduce to everyone which flowers are most suitable for which spots, so be careful not to place them wrong~

Entryway

The entryway is best decorated with tall-stemmed plants that have lush foliage and abundant greenery, such as the money tree (Pachira aquatica) and the ZZ plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia). The entryway is the place that creates the first impression when you come in, and placing these plants there gives a feeling of vibrant life.

Money tree (Pachira aquatica)

The money tree is a perennial evergreen shrub that likes warm, humid environments with scattered light, and its most suitable growing temperature is 20°C to 30°C.

ZZ plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia)

The ZZ plant cannot be exposed to strong sun. In summer, it is usually misted about once every 3 days, but there must be no standing water, otherwise the roots rot easily.

Living room

In the living room, you can place larger plants such as the money tree, lucky bamboo (Dracaena sanderiana) and ZZ plant in the corners, and you can also place small plants with auspicious meanings that purify the air on the coffee table, tables or TV cabinet, such as the Swiss cheese plant (Monstera deliciosa) and cyclamen (Cyclamen persicum).

Swiss cheese plant (Monstera deliciosa)

The Swiss cheese plant likes a warm, humid and cool climate, but potted Swiss cheese plants cannot tolerate high temperatures, cannot stand direct sunlight, and are not cold-hardy either; the room temperature in winter must not drop below 10°C.

Cyclamen (Cyclamen persicum)

Cyclamen likes light, so it should often be moved out to bask in the sun. Also, do not water it too much at one time, otherwise the roots rot easily.

Bedroom

The bedroom is a place for rest and sleep, so it is suitable for placing flowers that both purify the air and help with sleep, such as aloe vera and cactus.

Aloe vera

Aloe vera is known as the "plant that won't die of drought", so not watering it generally has little effect; standing water, on the other hand, easily causes root rot.

Snake plant (Sansevieria trifasciata)

The snake plant has strong adaptability to light; it can take direct sunlight and can also be kept in a semi-shady environment. Watering about once every 5-6 days is enough.

Study

The study is usually used for studying and working, so you can place flowers that refresh the mind, such as mint, and you can also place a pot of asparagus fern (Asparagus setaceus); putting asparagus fern on the desk symbolizes academic success.

Mint

Mint can just be grown rough-and-ready. What to note is that mint likes fertile, loose soil with good aeration; you can also apply a little chicken manure fertilizer to make it grow faster.

Asparagus fern (Asparagus setaceus)

Asparagus fern likes loose soil with good air permeability, and too much water at one time should be avoided. Old leaves should also be trimmed off in time, and remember to apply light fertilizer frequently.

Kitchen

The kitchen has a lot of cooking fumes, so it is best to place flowers that can absorb harmful gases and smoke, such as spider plant and pothos.

Spider plant (Chlorophytum comosum)

Although the spider plant is a semi-shade plant, you should still remember to often take it out to bask in the sun. Also, the potting soil for spider plants needs good aeration and drainage, otherwise the roots rot easily.

Pothos (Epipremnum aureum)

Pothos likes a semi-shady, well-ventilated environment and is suitable for placing in the living room, study and other places. Pothos is very easy to keep alive; watering about once every 3-5 days is enough.

Balcony

The balcony usually has fairly abundant light and good ventilation, so it is very suitable for growing sun-loving flowers, such as moss rose and dwarf petunia.

Moss rose (Portulaca grandiflora)

Moss rose is a strongly sun-loving plant, so placing it on the balcony is very good. Moss rose has high water requirements; when watering you can water generously, generally once a day, and when it is very hot in summer, twice a day.

Dwarf petunia (Petunia hybrida)

Dwarf petunia likes sunny, warm and humid places, so the balcony is a very good choice. Also note that dwarf petunia is not waterlogging-tolerant, so avoid watering too much at one time; water about once every 5~7 days.

Bathroom

The bathroom is usually fairly shady and damp, so it is better to place shade-tolerant plants there. In addition, the bathroom has more bacteria and mosquitoes, so you can place plants that can sterilize and repel insects, such as the sword fern (Nephrolepis cordifolia) and mosquito repellent plant.

Sword fern (Nephrolepis cordifolia)

The sword fern is shade-tolerant and likes warm, humid places. It can also regulate air humidity and absorb formaldehyde. The sword fern has good shade tolerance, so it is very suitable for keeping in a bathroom with weaker light.

Mosquito repellent plant

The mosquito repellent plant likes warmth and water; 10-25°C is the suitable growing temperature, temperatures below 7°C or above 32°C are unfavorable for growth, and the indoor overwintering temperature should not be below 12°C.

That is all Huahua has to introduce about which flowers are better placed in which spots~
