If you want your Phalaenopsis orchids to grow strong and bloom abundantly, don't overlook these key points

Phalaenopsis orchids and orchids are flowers that everyone loves to grow, but caring for these two flowers is not so easy and requires certain methods and techniques. Today I will tell you a few key points to pay attention to in their care; whether Phalaenopsis orchids and orchids grow well depends on these.
1. Disinfect before repotting. When repotting Phalaenopsis orchids and orchids, the pot, roots and leaves should first be disinfected; do not use them directly. You can spray the pot, roots and leaves with a carbendazim or thiophanate solution. 2. Use good potting medium. There are two kinds of medium for growing orchids: one is hard material, the other is soft material. Hard materials include: volcanic stone, expanded clay pellets, crushed brick pieces, etc. Soft materials include: peat soil, peanut shells, pine needles, tree bark, etc. You can mix them appropriately according to local conditions; the general requirement is that they be loose and breathable, with smooth drainage. But the medium must be clean; the old medium removed during repotting must not be used, replace it with new base material.
3. Repotting and transplanting. First fill the bottom of the pot with a drainage layer, using stones, expanded clay pellets, etc., then according to the size and height of the pot, and according to the size of the plant, adjust the transplanting height. The roots should not be planted too deep; about 3 cm from the pot rim is enough. 4. Fill in the medium. When the adjusted plant is about level with the height of the pot, you can start filling in the medium. When filling, slowly add it from all around the pot, tapping the outer wall of the pot as you fill, so that the medium and roots are completely combined. Once the medium completely covers the roots, it is done.
5. After transplanting, water it, and water thoroughly; be sure to use clean water when watering. After watering, place it in a cool, ventilated spot and do not let direct sunlight hit it; long periods of direct sunlight will cause the leaves to dry out. Usually check the dryness and moisture of the medium in the pot often; when you find it dry, water it, and if it is not dry, wait another day or two before watering. It is better to let it be a little on the dry side than to let the medium be too wet.
