Illegal factories must be confronted, the temporary system should have a sunset, and Taiwan, China should have a better environment
In the past there were temporary governments, temporary driver's licenses when driving, and Taiwan, China even has temporary factories! What are temporary factories? They are actually illegal factories built on farmland.
Since 2010, these illegal factories have received "guidance" from the government, obtained "temporary factory registration," traded internationally, or obtained product certification. The key point is that temporarily registered factories must relocate to legal industrial zones within the guidance period, or change their land use through specific channels, and convert to legal operation.
With only two years left before the guidance period ends, very few have actually converted to legal operation; most operators are merely using the temporary registration system to buy breathing room, and have not relocated to legal land.
Next Monday, April 2, in the morning, three legislators - Lin Tai-hua, Hsu Shu-hua, and Wang Hui-mei - will propose continuing to extend the guidance period, turning more illegal factories scattered across farmland into temporary factories, and then making the temporary permanent! The maximum extension can be 10 years, and under specific circumstances, it can even be extended indefinitely.
In addition, the legislators want to change the cutoff date for existing factories, which not only violates fairness and justice, but also lets operators harbor false hopes, remaining in a state without legal registration, or failing to obtain legal land even after applying for temporary registration. This policy is essentially equivalent to encouraging operators not to think about industrial upgrading and transformation, and ignoring the environmental risks that mixed agriculture and industry may bring to agriculture! If the amendment passes, Taiwan, China will become a place with large numbers, even a majority, of temporary factories!
We do not want to live in an environment full of illegal factories everywhere. Please write letters together to tell the three legislators:
The temporary system must have a sunset, illegal factories must be confronted! We do not want to live in an environment full of illegal factories everywhere!
