Water pothos and clivia with these kinds of water and they will grow like crazy, no need to buy nutrient solution

Flowers & Gardening 0 views
Today I'm recommending a few homemade nutrient solutions for flower lovers. The materials are just leftover egg-boiling water, used tea leaves, milk, beer and so on from home. Once used on your plants, the leaves will be greener, the roots stronger, and they will grow so fast they burst out of the pot!

Water plants with fish tank wastewater and the flowers will bloom so brightly they dazzle your eyes

If you keep fish at home, flower lovers, don't waste the water you change out of the fish tank! As the saying goes, fish water is fertilizer. The droppings the fish produce in the water and the uneaten fish food both make the fish tank water richer in nutrients!

Advantages of watering plants with fish tank water:

① Saves water resources: keeping fish requires a lot of water, and if you don't reuse it when changing the water, it is simply wasted.

② The water is nutrient-rich: fish waste is fertilizer for green plants.

③ Compared with tap water, the chlorine has already evaporated, so it is harmless to green plants.

Note that the temperature of the fish tank water may differ somewhat from the temperature of the potting soil. It is recommended to let the fish tank water sit for a day or two before use. The effect will be better and it will promote the plants' growth.

Don't pour out the water after boiling eggs, it can extend the flowering period

When mom boils eggs for me, she ladles out the water to water the plants.

Just as we like to put eggshells in potting soil, during the boiling process part of the mineral elements in the eggshells break down into the water, so the egg-boiling water also contains these elements. After being heated, this water also becomes cleaner, making it absolutely the best for watering plants.

Note that you must wait until the water has cooled completely before watering!

Moldy soybeans not fit to eat? Soak them in water and water your plants for stronger roots

The soybeans at home either get bitten by bugs or go moldy from damp. What to do? Process them a bit and use them to water your plants!

Steps:

① Collect all the moldy beans, put them in a big pot with water and boil them until the soybeans are completely cooked.

② Find a clean plastic bottle or plastic bucket, put the cooked soybeans in, then add clean water, with the amount of clean water covering the soybeans, then seal the plastic bucket to ferment. Open the lid every 3-5 days to let air in, or if you find that troublesome you can just poke a few holes in the plastic bucket.

③ After about 1 month, the soybean fertilizer is ready. Take the soybean fertilizer water and mix it with clean water at a ratio of 1:50 to make a solution, and use it directly to water your plants. Soybeans are extremely rich in nitrogen, and once your plants absorb the nitrogen from the soybeans, the roots will grow stronger and stronger!

④ If you think fermenting fertilizer smells too bad, you can also just dig a hole along the edge of the flower pot and bury the cooked soybeans directly, about 1-3 beans each time.

⑤ Cooked soybeans slowly release their fertilizing effect in the soil, thus supplying plenty of nitrogen. Plants at home like spider plants, pothos and snake plants, once they absorb the nitrogen from the soybeans, will grow more and more vigorously, with stronger and stronger roots, and the leaves will also become big and green!

Special reminder: moldy mung beans, red beans and so on can also be used this way to feed plants!

Don't throw away expired milk, once plants drink it their leaves look waxed

Whether yogurt or milk, the shelf life is super short. Sometimes when I buy too much while shopping at the supermarket, it expires after just a few days. People can't drink expired milk or yogurt, but you can give some to your plants.

① Whether you use expired yogurt or expired milk to water plants, it must be fully fermented before use. If you pour it directly into the flower pot, it will easily attract little bugs.

② Prepare a clean plastic bottle or plastic bucket, pour the expired milk or yogurt in, then add a bit of water, shake it a little, seal it and put it on the windowsill to bake in the sun. If you are worried about the smell, you can add some chopped orange peel.

③ Every few days unscrew the cap to release gas (so it won't be impossible to open later), and after about 1 month it is fermented. Once the fertilizer is ready, mix it with clean water at a ratio of 1:100 to make a solution, and either water the roots directly or spray the leaves.

④ Even when expired, these dairy products are still extremely rich in nitrogen. Once your plants absorb the nitrogen in them, the leaves will look as if they have been waxed, glossy and dripping with fat!

Soak used tea leaves in water to water plants and keep the potting soil moist

Such expensive tea, what do you do with the used tea leaves after brewing? It's too much of a pity to throw them away, so better to brew them again and use them to water plants!

Put the used tea leaves left over from drinking tea into a bottle, seal it and ferment, and after about a month it is ready to use.

Watering plants with used tea leaf water can keep the potting soil moist and promote the growth of green plants. Note that you should not pour the tea leaves themselves into the pot too, because then the tea leaves easily rot and stink and breed little bugs.

Aren't the plants watered with used tea leaf water even more beautiful!

Aspirin water promotes rooting

Dissolve expired pills from home in water and feed it to your green plants, and it can speed up rooting!

In spring when taking cuttings, green plants are reluctant to root. What to do? Take 1 aspirin tablet, crush it with a tool, then mix it with warm water at a ratio of about 1:1000, then soak the cuttings in the aspirin solution for half an hour. This not only promotes rooting but also sterilizes and disinfects, preventing the cuttings from rotting.

Water plants with air conditioner water and spider plants and gardenias grow like crazy

The air conditioning season is about to arrive. The water produced by the air conditioner running is very useful, did you know?

The air conditioner water produced by condensation is neutral, neither acidic nor alkaline, very mild. Collect it and water the spider plants, Christmas cacti and gardenias at home, and they will grow better and better!

Alright, that's what I'm teaching everyone today
