How do you grow rain lilies so they burst into a full pot of blooms? The key tips are here
1. Choosing a pot
It is a very beautiful and easy-to-grow flower. If you want it to produce many flowers and keep blooming for a long time, you need some know-how. The size of the pot is chosen according to the number of bulbs; if there are many bulbs, the pot should be large. In general, an ordinary flower pot will do. A 20 to 30 cm pot can generally hold five to six bulbs, and a medium-sized pot can hold ten bulbs.
2. Soil
It is very well suited to surviving in fertile, sandy soil, so it is best to choose this type of soil; it must be breathable enough, loose enough, and able to drain. When planting, keep the distance between each bulb at 3-5 cm, then cover with 2-3 cm of soil.
3. Watering
After planting, all you need to do is water it. It is fairly easy to care for; as long as the soil is moist enough, that is fine. Generally, water it in the morning or in the evening. In fact, its vitality is truly formidable: it is not afraid of scorching sun, not afraid of high heat, and not even afraid of wind and rain, and it even blooms after it rains. So when growing it, you can put it outdoors as much as possible without deliberately worrying about anything; when the wind and rain come at the turn of spring and summer, it will burst into full bloom.
4. Fertilizing
To feed it, you can use organic fertilizer, or nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium fertilizer; there is no need to do it too often, once every two or three months is enough. This lets its flowers grow better and more numerous. It should be placed in a spot with plenty of sunlight; if the light is not sufficient, it will affect its growth and be very bad for its daughter bulbs. The suitable temperature is 22-30°C. When caring for it, you must be attentive every day, not caring for it one moment and ignoring it the next; only then can it produce a full pot of blooms.
