If you want it to produce more flowers, you can achieve this by controlling water: stop watering it ten days before it rains, and you can also cut off the leaves near the flower buds, so it will bloom even more. In addition, give it more light so the flowers' colors look even better, and apply phosphorus and potassium fertilizer so the flowers grow better.

1. Water control

After its flowers bloom and then fade, remove the flowers together with their stems. You can check the weather forecast in advance, and starting ten days before the rain, begin controlling water: do not water the soil, just use a sprayer to moisten its leaves every day. It has the ability to predict the weather; the closer the rain gets, the faster its flower buds grow.

When the flowers are blooming, there is no need to water it every day. You can let it stay dry for a period, then water it heavily, which helps it grow flower stalks. It only needs the rain to moisten it naturally; after the rain, it can grow many beautiful flowers. After the tenth day of water control, if you want it to bloom earlier, you can remove the leaves near the flower buds, so it will open earlier and bloom for longer.

2. Light

Once the flower buds have grown, give it enough light. It quite likes sunlight, and only in the sun will its colors be more vivid. After the flowers are in full bloom, water it promptly to ensure sufficient nutrients. Its flowering period is from May to October, and it grows flowers very easily. If this kind of flower in your home never blooms, it is very likely a variety issue.

3. Soil and fertilizer

The soil for planting it is best a fertile sandy soil, and sunlight must be sufficient. If it is placed in a shaded area, it will not easily produce offsets, nor will it easily grow flowers. Add fertilizer once every two or three months, applying phosphorus and potassium fertilizer in the proper ratio, which helps the roots become stronger and the flowers grow better.

4. Care precautions

It is fairly drought-tolerant and must not be watered too much, otherwise it will not grow flowers. Normally, if the soil turns white and the pot becomes lighter, then water it. If you want it to grow dense flowers, it needs not only sufficient sunlight but also more organic fertilizer and animal manure. If you want to propagate it, you can do so all year round, with the temperature kept above 15°C, and it can be propagated by division or by bulbs. If it does not bloom, you can solve this by increasing light and controlling water.
