Y A N G H U A D A Q U A N
Many people get fully equipped and head to the hillside to dig dandelions, but when they arrive and look at the wild vegetables all over the ground, they cannot tell which one is really a dandelion. Huahua will tell you about the characteristics of dandelions, and has also found the following kinds of wild grasses that are not dandelions. Flower friends, be sure to look carefully!
Dandelion is also called "popo ding". In the south, where temperatures are high, it can usually be dug up in March. In the north, where winter is long, fresh dandelions are usually available from March to May.
Dandelions have some characteristics that distinguish them from other wild vegetables:
First, dandelion leaves feel very thin and are green, with the part near the root turning purple and red.
If the leaves are curled and prickly, and feel fuzzy to the touch, it is not a dandelion.
The following two are also not dandelions.
Second, when the root stem or leaves of a dandelion are broken open, they release a white liquid, and if there is a lot of it, it will make your hands sticky.
Third, the dandelions we usually eat have small yellow flowers, one flower per flower stalk. If there are several flowers, it is not a dandelion.
Fourth, the dandelion root is black, does not have too many small fibrous roots, and is relatively thick and long. In the later stage of growth, the root has greater medicinal value.
Dandelions are so useful, is it really enough to know only one thing about them?

Dandelion flowers bloom in spring. Spring dandelions are tender and relatively tasty. Whether steeped in water or used in cooking, they are good for your health, but dandelion is cold in nature, so people with a weak constitution should not eat too much.
1. As everyone knows, dandelion has a very good effect on reducing internal fire. Summer is coming soon, and the hotter the weather, the easier it is to get internal heat. Steeping dried dandelion in water and drinking it has a noticeable effect on reducing internal fire.
Steps:
① Choose dandelions in the wild that are growing well, dig them up with a hoe including the roots, and collect the whole plant.
② Clean off the soil from the dandelion roots. To preserve the effect, it is recommended not to wash them, but to put them directly in a ventilated place to dry.
③ You can cut the leaves and roots apart and dry them separately.
④ Separate the dried dandelion leaves, cut the roots into thin slices, and at
a temperature of 500-1000°C
stir-fry them. After confirming they are dry, put them in bags and refrigerate them. Take 3-6 grams at a time and brew with boiling water to drink.Benefits of drinking dandelion tea:
① Reduces internal fire and inflammation, clears heat and detoxifies
② Diuretic, boosts immunity
③ Removes damp-heat, drives away acne and bad breath
④ Clears the liver and benefits the gallbladder, a good medicine for drinkers
2、
Dandelion can be used as an ingredient to make porridge or cold dressed dishes. It reduces internal fire and nourishes the complexion. Likewise, people with a weak constitution should not eat too much.
Steps:
① After washing fresh dandelions, put them in boiling water and blanch them. Let them boil for one or two minutes. If cooked too long, they will become sticky and not taste good.
② Take them out and put them in another basin of clean water. Rinse 1-2 times to remove some of the bitterness. If you can accept the taste, you do not need to rinse too many times. Then wring them dry with your hands.
③ For cold dressed dishes, just take a portion and add seasonings to suit your own taste,
such as salt, chicken essence, Weijixian, white sugar, vinegar and so on.
④ For porridge, take a portion, chop it up, cook it together with rice, and add salt and other seasonings to taste.
In addition, we can also eat dandelion directly dipped in sauce, and we can also stir-fry it with eggs like bitter chrysanthemum greens. Both are very good!
