A simple method for using eggshells in gardening: loose, fertile, airy potting soil, so plants grow strong and bloom profusely

For those of you who love plants and flowers, placing a few pots of greenery on the balcony or windowsill is a daily delight. But if you want potted plants and flowers to grow vigorously and bloom abundantly, fertilizer is key. The eggshells left over from eggs you often eat in the kitchen are a great fertilizer, and saving them for gardening works especially well.
First, they contain phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, along with calcium and other rich trace elements, so they can fertilize plants and provide nutrients.
Second, added to gardening soil, they also make the potting soil airy and well-draining, and keep it from compacting.
Specific steps for using eggshells as fertilizer:
1. Collect your everyday eggshells and put them directly in the sun on the balcony to dry.
Then use a hammer to crush them all into small pieces. The finer the better.
Add them to the soil. The ratio of eggshells to soil is 1:8; a little more or less is fine. Then you can use it directly to plant flowers.
2. Keep a drink bottle or small bucket in the kitchen. Put all the eggshells into the small bucket, pour in water, and then you can dilute this water and add water to it to water your plants. The residual nutrients in the eggshells soak into the water, making it excellent for watering flowers, full of nutrients, so plants grow strong and sturdy.
3. If you have relatively intact eggshells, you can wash them clean and fill them with loose, fertile, airy soil.
Then put in a few seeds, and they can be used as seedling starter cups.
You can also put in a few succulent leaves to propagate succulents from leaf cuttings. It is quite fun too. When the seedlings grow bigger, just break the eggshell open and plant them in a pot.
4. You can also, while gardening, add crushed eggshells directly to the potting soil as fertilizer. The method is simple and easy.
Potted plants with added eggshells: every plant grows vigorously, and flowers bloom one after another!
