What is it like to grow succulents in the free-shipping region? It is absolutely like having a cheat code. So many succulent lovers envy it beyond words. So a girl, in order to grow succulents, traveled all the way from the free-shipping region to Yunnan and began a pleasant succulent-growing life.
Now that succulent prices have plummeted, as someone in the industry, it is actually distressing, just like when you hold a stock and then it keeps falling.......
But from another angle, succulent prices are becoming more and more affordable, which shows that they are becoming more and more popular. After greenhouse owners began mass propagation, prices naturally fell, and as consumers we can then buy once sky-high-priced succulents at more reasonable prices.
As a girl with a severe phobia of worms, my first encounter with gardening was with our lovely succulents. Bugs are just a small case-------mealybugs, no problem squishing them.
Many people have told me that succulents are plants for lazy people, but why do I always kill them? I want to say, kid, then try growing herbaceous flowers, and you will probably kill them even faster!

Counting it up, I have been growing succulents for more than two years, and only finally understood that time is the best medicine. When a succulent grows a sturdy root system (this time span ranges from half a year to 1 year), and then waits for the right season (between the Winter Solstice and spring), it is hard not to get a good state.
During this period, what we need to do is
1. Create good light as much as possible (except for the Haworthia series)
2. Water thoroughly when wilted (compared with herbaceous flowers, succulents need watering much less often, all right)
3. Do not let them freeze (the vast majority cannot tolerate low temperatures below 0)
4. Do not let them overheat (above 32 degrees, you need to consider shading, kid)
5. Reduce watering in extreme weather (bitter summer and cold winter)
6. Keep ventilation (we do not like stuffy environments either, right)
7. Kill pests if there are pests, treat diseases if there are diseases
8.......
There are actually so many points to pay attention to! Well, maybe it is just habit, but is not the joy of growing flowers found in all of this.
Of course, there are differences in region, environment, and various aspects. For example, succulent lovers in the free-shipping region will always envy Yunnan's heaven-defying climate. Shandong, Heilongjiang, Tibet, and others are all easier to grow in than Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai, do you know that?
But it is precisely because the free-shipping region has a long rainy season, winter does not freeze them to death, and in summer they can heat to death if you are not careful, so year after year you cannot stop buying. Fortunately, succulent prices are acceptable now.

So, I announce that I want to leave the free-shipping region, go to Yunnan, and grow succulents!
Making this decision was in the plan, and also in change. In the end, doing again what you love to do, life is short, being happy is most important.
I am not good at dealing with people, but I love communicating with them.
I know that when she is thirsty, give her enough water, and she grins so widely it looks like her mouth will split open; when she has bugs and is very itchy, remove the bugs for her, and she becomes fresh and clean again; take photos to remember her, and she will choose a good angle; even if she dies, she has still lived once, whether happily or with difficulty.
In the more than two years living in the magic city, there were many hardships, but it was also fulfilling, because I met them, and I met the thing I will always keep doing. From now on, no matter how many trials there are, do not forget the original intention.
After coming to Yunnan, it is just straightforward hate-magnet mode haha
For friends who have never been to Yunnan, they have long yearned for this place where it is like spring all year round, and added to that the bombardment of beautiful photos from succulent lovers in the cheat-code region, they wish that after retirement they could bring their succulents, stake out a plot of land, and live in Yunnan with succulents as companions, like idle clouds and wild cranes.

The temperature difference here is large and sunlight is strong. The natural climate creates an excellent environment for growing succulents. There is no way, who told them to be the cheat-code region. Add to that the absence of extreme weather in winter and summer, and many greenhouse owners directly grow them outdoors, which is completely fine. The free-shipping region cannot do that. When it meets consecutive rainy days, it dies right before your eyes in no time.

Because of this, many greenhouse owners travel thousands of miles and migrate here, professionally growing succulents in Yunnan. Mom no longer has to worry about my large-scale losses in summer!

Yunnan's succulents are beautiful, and the prices are relatively more expensive too. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Many succulent lovers worry that succulents from the cheat-code region will face the risk of losing color after being bought back. In fact, this does indeed exist.
Because the climate is different, but except for summer, the other seasons are still fine, especially winter in the free-shipping region, where achieving a good state is not difficult.
