How do you graft a rose tree? These common methods are essential to master

Rose is also known as yueyuehong, because its blooms are especially beautiful, and people call it the queen of flowers. Roses bloom very beautifully and have great ornamental value. Therefore, many households love to grow this flower.
Like some ordinary flowers, this flower can be propagated by cuttings. In addition, it has another propagation method - grafting. Through grafting, the rose plant becomes very tall and large, and the main trunk can be easily distinguished. It can also be grafted into one tree with multiple flowers, which looks very beautiful.
Many people have never propagated roses by grafting at all, so how should roses be grafted? What should be used for grafting?
1. What tree is used to graft roses
Rose belongs to the Rosaceae family, so the rootstock used for grafting roses should be chosen from Rosaceae plants. For example, Banks' rose (Rosa banksiae), Rosa davurica, and other plants with well-developed root systems.
2. Materials to prepare when grafting roses
For the scion, choose a one-year-old well-developed branch, one with shorter internode spacing and facing the sun. For the rootstock, choose one with a healthy root system, free of pests and diseases, and with good compatibility with the scion.
3. Grafting time for roses
When the buds on the rootstock begin to sprout but have not yet grown leaves, you can start grafting roses. Too early and too late are both bad, so you must grasp this timing well.
4. Grafting methods for roses
Use a knife to make two vertical cuts at the top of the rootstock, and peel back the bark at these two cuts. Cut a small part into the woody layer inside, then shave the scion along one side with a knife into a slanted slice shape. The prepared scion can then be inserted into the woody layer of the rootstock, leaving a small blank area at the top.
Then use a plastic bag or similar to wrap the rootstock and scion junction well. Pay attention to the tightness; wrapping too loosely is equivalent to not wrapping at all and will not work for the scion. Wrapping too tightly will crush the scion to death, so wrapping it well is enough.
