I. Whether it can be placed in the bedroom

If your family members do not mind its floral scent, it can still be placed in the bedroom. Its resistance to toxic gases is still quite strong. If it is placed in a room where a couple sleeps together, from a feng shui perspective, it carries the meaning of respecting love, because this is the place where the couple rests together and is a symbolic area of their relationship. II. How to care for it in the bedroom

1. Potting soil

Use soil that is sufficiently fertile, loose and sufficiently breathable. It is best not to use clay with relatively poor breathability. If you pot it, you can use a clay pot, with bricks placed underneath to raise it up, which can help it drain. A 5 cm thick layer of crushed stone can be spread at the bottom of the pot. The soil pH is best at 5.5-6.3. If it is in northern regions, this flower is generally not easy to grow, because the soil and water there are on the alkaline side, and a certain substance in its cells will be dissolved, which will cause it to grow poorly.

2. Watering

Its roots are fleshy. If the soil is too wet, the leaves will turn yellow, fall off, and root rot may even occur. If there is no water, it will wilt and its leaves will curl, so it is afraid of both dryness and water. If during its peak flowering period the flowers open too widely, it means there is not enough water. If the water is sufficient, then that day it will be in bud form. When the surface soil of the pot is dry and has already cracked, water it immediately.

The water temperature should be the same as the soil temperature. Do not suddenly water with cold or hot water, and be sure to water thoroughly. If you only water a little, the roots will stay shallow. In spring and autumn, there is no need to water much. In summer, water every day, preferably in the evening. In late autumn, gradually reduce the amount, and in winter water once every ten days or so. When it rains, shelter it from the rain. If you use rice-washing water, it needs to be fermented before watering.

III. Points to note

Its fragrance is relatively strong, so if placed in the bedroom, it is best to put it in a sufficiently ventilated area, otherwise the irritation to breathing is still relatively great.
