Now the main text begins:

In the past, electric drills, screwdrivers, and tape measures were all things in men's hands, and just hearing the noise of an electric drill made me feel a kind of bloody, mangled fear. Now that I grow succulents, it is like becoming a mother, and motherhood makes one strong!

In order to add space for my growing number of succulent sons, I first bought shelf boards and brackets online, borrowed an electric drill from a colleague, measured the dimensions, and though I usually watched others do it, when it was my turn, I braced myself and started working like an experienced hand. Fortunately, I caught on pretty well and things went basically smoothly.

This shows that a tough woman is not forced into it, but has it latent inside her...

The shelf boards bought online came with two built-in brackets. Worried that they could not bear the weight of the succulents, I also bought triangular brackets. Using both sets together, there is no problem with load-bearing.

First, place a few babies to see the effect. Satisfied!

A few more, ha, rock solid and great!

Look at this big family. I had already prepared to chop off my hands and stop buying succulents, but after finishing this renovation, the suddenly freed-up space makes me restless again. Oh heavens, who can keep me in check!

This large red pot is both my favorite and my most hated. In late summer and early autumn last year, because it is glazed inside and out, two of my beloved succulents suffered black rot, and the drainage hole at the bottom was also a bit small. A few days ago, to let it breathe, I came up with a solution: use hot melt adhesive to glue glass balls to the bottom to raise it up, so that air can pass through from top to bottom.

When doing it, I did the steps in the wrong order. I should have enlarged the hole first and then glued on the glass balls. As a result, when I was drilling the hole, the already glued glass balls rolled all over the floor, and I cried at my own stupidity.

The glue gun and glue sticks were both provided by a colleague who is also a succulent friend. The glass balls were bought online and cost 4.5 yuan for one hundred.

After re-gluing them, the drainage hole is the size of a one-yuan coin, and my wish was finally fulfilled.

There is now a ventilated distance from the tabletop, but gluing onto a smooth surface also has a drawback. If the succulent pot is not moved, it can be guaranteed not to fall off, but once it is moved back and forth, haha, one falls today and two fall tomorrow, and in the blink of an eye it is restored to factory settings. Haha, so I need to consider changing to another adhesive, and friends are welcome to offer suggestions.

Since I am idle anyway, I enlarged the holes that could be enlarged and glued glass balls on all that could have them. The next day I had to return all the tools; if you return them, it is not hard to borrow again. Hehe...

Finally, I temporarily put together a pot as a finale, and inside it is the manuscript fee rewarded by the village chief. Guess who.

By the way, the Sedum reflexum 'Blue Spruce' should have developed variegation. It was supposed to be lush green, yet it stayed tender yellow all winter.

Succulent group buy: The newly listed peach eggs have an even more cost-effective package! The village chief has gone crazy, 10 three-headed peach eggs for only 39.9! Yes, that is the price for ten!
