How big is the difference between new and aged Fuding white tea?

Differences between aged white tea and new white tea
1. Different storage time
Ordinary tea has a shelf life of two years. If it exceeds the two-year shelf life, even if it is stored very well, the aroma of the tea will disappear completely. But white tea is different. The longer white tea is stored, the mellower and more fragrant its taste becomes. Generally, aged white tea is stored for 10~20 years.
2. Appearance
In terms of appearance, aged white tea is overall dark brown and dull, and when smelled closely it has waves of aged, subtle fragrance that can immediately refresh you; while new white tea is generally brownish green or grayish green and covered with white pekoe, mixed with a clear sweet and fresh tea-leaf scent.
3. Tea liquid and tea aroma
When brewed, aged white tea has waves of clear, quiet aroma with a slight pekoe fragrance, and the first infusion carries a faint traditional Chinese medicine scent, while new tea when brewed has a faint pekoe fragrance and a relatively light taste with the raw-leaf flavor of fresh tea, very fresh and brisk. In addition, the tea liquid color of aged white tea is deeper than that of new white tea.
4. The tea leaves' resistance to multiple infusions
Aged white tea is quite resistant to multiple infusions and can be brewed twenty times in succession, and the taste becomes even better toward the later infusions, while new tea can be brewed according to personal habit, and if it still tastes good after seven infusions, it is a top-grade new tea.
Aged white tea can be used as a medicinal guide in modern traditional Chinese medicine, so aged white tea and new white tea differ not only in tea aroma and appearance, but also in health benefits!
