How to grow cineraria well? A detailed guide to care methods
1. Proper watering
It is also called cineraria. Its flowering period is relatively long, and it can bloom for thirty to forty days. It has many varieties, and the flower shapes also differ, with bright, beautiful colors. Its leaves are relatively large and thin, so it needs a lot of water, but at the same time it must not be too wet. It is enough as long as the leaves do not shrivel.
Normally, water according to whether the soil in the pot is dry or wet. You can water once every two or three days. Every day you can also spray the leaves once with clean water. During high temperatures, you can spray twice to help it cool down and increase humidity. Before it blooms, watering should be controlled. During the flowering period, it should be placed in a place at 8-12°C.
2. Reasonable fertilizing
It likes a mild climate, is not very cold-resistant, and fears waterlogging. It needs good fertilizer, and the soil must be loose enough, fertile enough, and have good drainage; sandy soil is best. In addition to adding base fertilizer when planting it out, you should also give it a very small dose of cake fertilizer once every seven to ten days, or you can use chemical fertilizer. After the flower buds appear, you can add potassium dihydrogen phosphate once or twice, and continue fertilizing until it grows flowers. When it rains, you can stop temporarily. If it gets on the leaves, you should promptly help wash it off.
3. Ventilation and light
It likes sunny and cool areas, and strong direct sunlight cannot be used on it. As it grows, the distance between each pot should be increased. You can place it in a sunny area, and during high temperatures place it in a shady area. If you do this, its leaves will be thicker, the color will be deeper, and the flowers will be very bright. If there is not enough light, it will grow leaves wildly, affecting flowering. If the light is too strong, the leaves will dry out. If only one side faces the sun, it will easily grow lopsided and look unattractive. Therefore, you should turn the pot once a week to make it more symmetrical.
