What are the reasons why ivy does not bloom
1. Flowers
First, let's talk about what its flowers look like. Generally speaking, it will have at least about five flowers, and at most forty; the calyx is relatively dense and rather short, and the color is usually pale yellow or pale green; the flowering period is relatively long, lasting as long as two months, and it usually blooms in September and November.
2. Temperature
The main reason it does not bloom is that our cultivation is not up to standard; as far as temperature is concerned, we need to give it what it needs, generally between 20 and 25 degrees; it is rather afraid of heat and its tolerance for cold is not strong either, so when we keep it indoors we need to pay attention to adjusting things; in winter, if conditions are limited, the temperature should at least be above 5 degrees, and above 10 degrees is even better. Temperature is very important to it, and only when this is satisfied will it bloom normally.
3. Water
Its requirements for water are also very strict; if there is no water, it can easily affect its blooming. Watering must be controlled well, just keeping the soil slightly moist is enough, while in summer the amount we water needs to be a bit more. In addition, we need to be careful not to water too much, otherwise the leaves will easily fall off. In winter the water we use also has requirements; we need to make sure it is about the same as room temperature. Normally we can also ensure good air humidity, so that its leaves will grow well and the flowers will naturally come out.
4. Light
Because it relatively likes light, we still need to give it sufficient light; of course, we need to pay attention to giving it moderate shade from the sun in summer, because too strong light can easily cause it to develop disease, and the chance of it dying from this is quite high, let alone not being able to grow flowers. In winter we can place it outside the house to receive the sunlight, because during this period the light is not scorching. Only by giving it sufficient light will its nutrients not be lacking, and only then will the flowers grow.
5. Fertilizing
Fertilizer is an important step in supplementing nutrients; in summer and winter there is no need to fertilize, but when it is growing relatively fast it can still be fertilized, and only in this way will it be prompted to grow flowers.
