How to fertilize cyclamen? Master the right method for more vigorous blooms
1. Liquid fertilizer
Because liquid fertilizer is a commonly used type of flower fertilizer, many plants need it during their growth process. Generally, it is mainly used as a top dressing. The specific method is to first prepare it in the correct proportion, then pour it directly into the pot. How much fertilizer to apply per pot depends on the size of the pot; generally, a 15 cm pot takes 300 ml, while a 20 cm pot takes 500 ml. In addition, the amount we apply is best kept to a level that can moisten the flower soil without causing it to flow out, because otherwise it may very likely lead to insufficient nutrients or nutrient loss.
2. Granular fertilizer
Besides liquid fertilizer, we can also apply a certain amount of granular fertilizer. Generally, it is better to use 3 g of fertilizer per 1 kg of soil. Of course, using it as a top dressing is also quite good. When using this type of fertilizer, we must pay attention to the application position. We cannot apply it directly at the roots; applying it at the edge of the pot or in a place farther from the roots is the correct approach, because in this way its roots will not be injured from touching the fertilizer. In addition, we can apply fertilizer according to a certain proportion. If the pot is 15 cm, we can place 15 to 20 granules into it; if it is 20 cm, place 20 to 25 granules.
3. Foliar top dressing
In addition to some commonly used fertilizers, we also need to provide it with fertilizer containing trace elements, but we must note that we cannot give it fertilizer with too high a concentration. Usually, we give it a 0.1 percent or 0.3 percent fertilizer.
There are also requirements for the application time. It needs to be done on a sunny day, preferably before 10 a.m. In addition, we should keep the temperature at around 20 degrees. If, for personal reasons or under certain special environmental conditions, we can also change the time and do it after 16:00, only in this way can we let the fertilizer take effect well, so that the plant's roots can better absorb the flower fertilizer.
