How to care for a cyclamen just brought home? Detailed care tips
1. Replenishing water
Newly bought plants usually grow fairly well, but after keeping it for a week we may find that many yellow leaves appear, and it may also topple over. At this point we need to replenish its water; after watering, this phenomenon will change noticeably.
However, lack of water is only one cause. Sometimes this phenomenon is not caused by a lack of water, but because it has not yet fully adapted to its new living conditions. At this point we must not replenish water at will, because doing so will cause its root system to rot.
2. Light
Because it is quite fond of light, after buying it we should place it in a sunny spot so that it can grow well. But we must note that the light must not be especially strong right from the start, because it cannot adapt to that. We should first place it in a spot with fairly good light that is not too harsh, and then gradually move it to a spot with stronger light that is not direct.
3. Temperature
The temperature it needs is not particularly high; around 20 degrees is quite good for it. This is especially true for one just bought, as it still needs some time to adapt to the environment, so we should satisfy its preferences to the greatest extent.
4. Fertilizer
We still need to apply fertilizer to it, because it is quite fond of fertilizer. But we must note that we cannot apply fertilizer that is too concentrated; only then will it grow well.
