How often should you water a cyclamen? Master the correct watering frequency
1. Spring
In spring it is still in its flowering season, and during this period we need to pay attention to the operation of watering. Generally speaking, watering should be relatively more, and after the flowers fade we should appropriately reduce the water given to it, once every two or three days is better.
There is also a proper method for watering. Generally speaking, the correct operation is to stop only after water has leaked out from the bottom hole of the pot. We also need to note that water must not be poured on top of the flowers, as this makes the flowers rot easily. If its flowers and leaves wilt due to loss of water, we should place it in a cool place, and if it can stand upright again after one or two hours, that shows it is back to normal.
2. Summer
Watering in summer should be a bit more, once a day is better. Because the temperature is relatively high and water evaporates relatively quickly, we can spray it with a bit more water, which ensures it will not run into problems from lack of water.
By the time July comes, its flowers have already faded, and we should stop watering, so that the withered leaves enter dormancy, and only in the following spring will it grow normally. After new leaves emerge, we then increase the amount of water.
3. Autumn
Autumn should be the dormant period, and during this period we cannot provide it with too much water; just letting its soil get damp is enough. Generally speaking, watering once every five days is fine.
4. Winter
In winter it has a tendency to bloom, so in winter we cannot give it too little water; watering once every two or three days, as in early spring, is more suitable.
5. Points to note
The watering frequencies above are only general data provided for reference; as for the specific watering times, fellow flower growers should adjust them according to the specific conditions of their own plants.
