When does a gardenia sprout? Know the sprouting time in advance
1. When does it sprout after sowing
The sowing time for this flower is mainly divided into spring and autumn. Spring sowing takes place around the time of Yushui (Rain Water), while autumn sowing takes place around the time of Qiufen (Autumn Equinox), with spring sowing being the main method.
Usually, 3 weeks after we sow, seedlings will grow out, and after about 1 month, they have basically all come up. But this is not absolute; there may be discrepancies due to different factors such as seed quality and temperature, which we will detail below.
2. When does it sprout after pruning
To make it send out new buds, we generally cut off some unnecessary flowering branches for it, and a flower that has been pruned can quickly grow new buds.
And these new buds, under proper care, can sprout in less than a week.
3. Influencing factors
Why do some flowers sprout quickly while others sprout slowly? In fact, this is related to their own variety and quality as well as the conditions under which they are grown.
First, the internal factors. If its seeds have quality problems, then never mind sprouting slowly; even not sprouting at all would be nothing surprising. In addition, there are some special varieties that are simply slow to sprout by nature, and there is nothing we can do about it.
Next, the external factors. The external factor here mainly refers to temperature. If it is unsuitable, it is impossible for it to sprout. Usually we keep it in the range of 18-22°C, which can ensure that it will not sprout slowly or fail to sprout due to temperature problems.
