How to care for jasmine before it blooms? These methods you need to master
1. Light
You need to give it plenty of light, because it is quite light-loving and cannot grow in a dark place for a long time, so we should put it outside to receive sunlight. Its flowering period begins in June. In May, if the sunlight is especially good, you can move it to the balcony.
2. Watering
The flower soil it needs is loose, because in this way its drainage and ventilation are relatively ideal. Since jasmine's roots are not well developed, this kind of environment suits it well. Because of the flower soil, when we water it we need to water it thoroughly. If you are not sure how much to water, you can simply wait until water seeps out from the bottom and then stop. Generally, we water it once in the morning and once in the evening, at fixed times.
3. Pruning
Pruning is actually the most important part, because it can promote flowering. Before flowering, its branches grow especially fast and soon become lush. Generally, what we cut off are new branches. If the new branches grow slowly, never mind, but if they grow fast, then you need to cut off everything within 10 cm counting from the tip. In this way, the side branches will also increase in number and grow faster than before.
4. Repotting
Generally, we need to repot before the flowering period, because soil that has been used for more than two years no longer has enough nutrients to support it until it blooms, and if its roots have grown too much, the original pot and soil simply cannot meet its nutrient absorption needs.
If we switch to a larger pot and keep its soil loose, it can regain its vitality, and when it blooms, the result will also be satisfying.
