How to care for and manage jasmine after it blooms

Flowers & Gardening 0 views
Many plants bloom, and some need no care after flowering, but jasmine does need proper handling after blooming, because that way it can grow very well. So, how exactly do you do it?

1. Pruning

In June it produces its early flowers. At this time we can pick off the flowers, and remember to also cut off the new leaves attached to the flowers, so that its new branches will grow better. After the third flowering, we should remove all the withered flowers, and also remove the faded branches, so that new flowering branches will grow.

2. Fertilizer

In early June, we give it dilute fertilizer water twice a week. During June and July, we need to apply thin fertilizer frequently, generally once every two days. The fertilizer needs to be organic and rotted, and water should make up 80 percent of the fertilizer water. In addition, we should carry out this operation in the evening.

In August, fertilizer of slightly higher concentration should be applied, generally with water making up half of the fertilizer water, so that the flowers will be bigger and more numerous. In late August, less fertilizer is needed, applied only once every six or seven days, and by September and October it is no longer needed.

3. Watering

In early June, keep its potting soil moist. Between June and July, water once a day, and in late August, once every two days. In the days after that, watering should gradually decrease, and by October it is enough to keep the soil just slightly moist.

4. Chemical substances

In early August, to promote better flowering, we can spray some calcium phosphate solution on the leaves. At each bud stage, we can apply some zhuangdiling, so that the flowers grown will look better and the color will be more pure. In addition, the flowering time will also be longer.
