When does Calendula generally bloom?
1. When does it bloom?
Its blooming period is roughly from June to October each year. When it is about to bloom, we will notice a phenomenon: the leaves at the center of the plant turn a very glossy color. Sometimes we can only observe the change in the leaves on the front side, and other times we can observe the change at the top.
2. Points to note when it blooms
The first is of course its temperature; only when it is in a suitable state will the quality of its blooming be good. In addition, under very suitable temperature conditions, it may even bloom early. For this plant, the most suitable temperature range for blooming is between 15 and 20 degrees.
The second is sunlight. Among all the factors that can affect its blooming, light is the one factor that is most indispensable. Generally, you need to ensure at least four to five hours of light per day. Don't worry, even direct sunlight will not harm this plant.
The third key element is fertilizer. Normally you don't need to pay much attention to fertilizer, but during the blooming period you must not neglect it, because blooming consumes a great deal of nutrients and these need to be replenished artificially.
It is worth mentioning that, besides the flower fertilizers sold on the market, rice washing water is also a flower fertilizer with extremely high nutritional value. It is both affordable and does not cause pollution.
