Dig out 1 spoonful of seeds and toss them into a pot, and in 7 days you'll have a tiny potted plant!
How to grow kiwifruit on a balcony?
Planting steps:
1. Go to a fruit shop or supermarket and buy a few fully ripe kiwifruits. Generally, the skin is yellowish-brown, and the fuzz on the skin does not come off easily when touched - that means the kiwifruit is fully ripe.
2. Cut the kiwifruit open, then use a small spoon to dig out the kiwifruit seeds.
3. Prepare a bowl of warm water at about 30-40°C, drop the kiwifruit seeds scooped out with the spoon into the water, and stir a few times to completely separate the seeds from the flesh stuck to them.
4. Pour away the kiwifruit flesh washed out in the water; what remains are the small black kiwifruit seeds.
5. Continue soaking the seeds in the warm water for 1-2 days, so the kiwifruit seeds absorb water and plump up, making it easier for sprouts to emerge.
6. After that, wet a paper towel, then place the kiwifruit seeds on the paper towel. To make the kiwifruit sprout as quickly as possible, you can place the paper towel wrapped around the seeds directly on the router.
7. It takes only about 2-4 days for the kiwifruit seeds to sprout tiny shoots.
8. Prepare loose, airy nutrient soil and plant the sprouted kiwifruit seeds in a flower pot. Remember to place them at equal distances when putting them into the soil, and do not let all the seeds crowd together, which would affect their growth.
9. It takes only about 1 week for the kiwifruit seeds to sprout and become a lush little potted plant.
10. When the kiwifruit seedlings grow more than 6 leaves, you need to divide them into separate pots, separating the seedlings and transplanting them into different flower pots.
11. Kiwifruit is shade-tolerant and cannot take direct sunlight. During the day, you can place it indoors in a spot with good scattered light, and let it get a little direct sun in the morning and evening. Normally keep the potting soil moist. It takes only about 1-2 months for the leaves of the potted kiwifruit to grow larger and the stems to become much thicker.
12. Kiwifruit is a dioecious flower, so if you want it to bear fruit, you must carry out hand pollination. After the kiwifruit blooms, dip the pollen from the stamens onto the pistils, or graft a male branch onto the female plant, so that the kiwifruit can bear fruit; otherwise it will only bloom and not fruit.
13. After pollination, apply more phosphorus and potassium fertilizer. You can bury some fish bone fertilizer, fish intestine fertilizer, etc. in the flower pot, or spray some monopotassium phosphate on the plant, so the kiwifruit can grow bigger and bigger.
PS: If you grow kiwifruit from seed, it takes about 3 years to bear fruit, so fellow gardeners must be patient enough!
That's all Huahua is introducing today.
Have all you fellow gardeners learned it?
If not, hurry up and try it yourself!
