"Plum Blossoms Praise Feishan, Enchanting Jingzhou" Online Photography Contest Officially Launched
Hosted by the People's Government of Jingzhou Miao and Dong Autonomous County and organized by China Agricultural News Network, the "'Yipin Dongfang' 2016 China Jingzhou Waxberry Festival and Feishan Cultural Tourism Festival - 'Plum Blossoms Praise Feishan, Enchanting Jingzhou'" Online Photography Contest was officially launched on May 23. The event will select 20 professional photographers to record the great beauty of Jingzhou through their lenses, present the actual development of Jingzhou's agricultural industry and the new look of its new countryside, and use images to showcase a beautiful village and county-level industrial development that possesses both historical depth and contemporary flair.
During the event, the organizers will arrange for 20 top professional photographers to go to Jingzhou for themed shoots on "Jingzhou Waxberry" and "Feishan Culture." The photographic works should present the highlights and characteristics of the waxberry throughout its entire journey from branch to tongue, capturing the beauty of the waxberry and the joy of the waxberry farmers. Waxberry culture is an important part of Feishan culture. Photographers can use their lenses to express Jingzhou waxberry's historical culture, commercial culture, ecological culture, industrial culture, tourism culture, song and dance culture, and culinary culture. Selected works will be submitted uniformly to the event organizer for judging.

Specific Event Schedule
1. Submit Contest Entries
Submission Deadline: Before 24:00 on June 22, 2016
Submission Content: Send the contest entry, work description, personal introduction (1 life photo of yourself + a self-introduction within 100 words), contact phone number, etc. to the email [email protected];
Work Requirements: A. Photographic works must be on themes related to Jingzhou waxberry or Jingzhou Feishan culture. Photographic works must closely follow the theme of "Discovering the Most Beautiful Jingzhou," with healthy and positive content, highlighting the elements of "Beautiful Jingzhou";
B. Submitted works must be in jpg format, with images uniformly processed to a long side of 1000 pixels, and file size controlled within 3000KB. Works without introductory materials will have their eligibility for evaluation revoked by the organizers;
C. Contestants must be the author of the submitted works and hold independent, complete copyright to those works; submitted works must not infringe upon the lawful rights and interests of third parties, including copyright, portrait rights, reputation rights, privacy rights, etc.;
D. All contest entries must be related to the 2016 Jingzhou Waxberry Festival. Among them, themed shots of the waxberry festival's picking ceremony, the ten-thousand-people waxberry tasting event, tourism reception, and other series of activities are the best;
2. Top Photographers' On-Site Shoot in Jingzhou
Shooting Time: June 14 - June 15
Shooting Location: Jingzhou
Number of Professional Photographers: 20
Event Description: During the event, 20 top professional photographers will be organized to go to Jingzhou for themed shoots on "Jingzhou Waxberry" and "Feishan Culture." Contestants should capture the highlights and characteristics of the waxberry throughout its journey from branch to tongue, and should capture the beauty of the waxberry, the joy of the waxberry farmers, and the care of the county party committee and county government. Feishan culture is very rich in content, and waxberry culture is an important part of Feishan culture. The historical culture, commercial culture, ecological culture, industrial culture, tourism culture, song and dance culture, and culinary culture of Jingzhou waxberry should be expressed through the lens. The works will be submitted uniformly to the event organizer for entry into the contest.
3. Online Voting and Evaluation
Voting Method: All collected works that meet the contest standards will be displayed online for voting. Votes can be solicited through WeChat, QQ, and other means. The voting results will account for 50% of the overall contest score;

4. Organizing Committee Evaluation
Evaluation Method: The contest organizing committee will comprehensively score all collected works that meet the contest standards based on multiple factors including photographic professionalism, whether they closely follow the theme, and work descriptions. The scoring results will account for 50% of the overall score.

5. Results Announcement: June 30, 2016
The scores from the online voting evaluation and the organizing committee evaluation will be combined to determine the final winners, among which
there will be 1 Gold Award, 2 Silver Awards, 3 Bronze Awards, and 10 Merit Awards. The list of winners will be publicly announced on Huinong Liandao Hui (hnliandao).
6. Award Ceremony: July 1, 2016 - July 5, 2016
The event organizer will present the winners with award certificates, prize money, and photo albums.
