A young man born in 1988, a botany postgraduate from Qingdao Agricultural University, came to Dazeshan 3 years ago and has devoted all his energy to tending and building up the orchard. He loves his work, and with his passion for agriculture he pours his knowledge and talent into the vineyard.

His name is Wang Wenjie, and he is in charge of managing the "Qingdao · Urban-Rural Dazeshan Grape Demonstration Orchard." In conversation, all kinds of technical terms and grape-growing theories roll off his tongue, and he believes that high-quality agriculture and high-end agriculture are not the same concept. In managing the grape demonstration orchard, Wang Wenjie hopes to produce a high-quality product: "Grow fresh table grapes in their original, natural state, so everyone can eat grapes that taste of grapes, rather than just pushing a high-end concept. Good grapes can be enjoyed by everyone."

In the future, with the development of the internet, the grapes in the demonstration orchard will also be sold online. Having learned about the China Agricultural Information Network's agricultural products trading function, Wang Wenjie is thinking of cultivating well the 100 mu of newly planted grapes so that when they reach mass production, good grapes can be enjoyed by more people through internet platforms and e-commerce.

The Dazeshan Grape Demonstration Orchard takes "green and humanistic" as its core, organically integrating the cultivation of improved-variety grapes, wine culture and demonstration-driven development. It adheres to standardized management and strictly controls yield at 2000 jin per mu, eliminates chemical fertilizers and polluting pesticides, uses no ripening agents and certainly no color enhancers, advocates green cultivation, creates a fresh and comfortable environment, and builds a green, humanistic vineyard.

In the demonstration orchard, the newly planted grape trellises are arranged in neat rows, and by next year the grape yield will be greater. What makes people feel comfortable is that the design and buildings in the estate are very unique. Around the "Xinxiang Pavilion" the gesang flowers are in full bloom, and beneath the grape trellises all is green, making this a great place for sightseeing and leisure. Not far away, the mountain scenery and lake views are very charming. Enjoy modern agriculture and take in the natural scenery; one visit is truly worth the trip.

Wang Wenjie explained that the orchard currently has 100 mu of wine grapes and 20 mu of table grapes. While tasting the table grapes, visitors can also see the wine grape cultivation. When the grapes he cultivated with his own hands ripened, Wang Wenjie, an arts-loving young man, was filled with emotion, and he wrote these words: "It is almost September, and the vineyard is full of the taste of ripeness, heavy and drifting in the wind. Cluster after cluster of large, lustrous grapes are beginning to change color, from green tinged with white, from white tinged with red. With ample sunlight and suitable weather, the grapes have grown especially enticing. Looking at those glistening grapes all over the trellis, my heart feels as sweet as if filled with honey. Carefully pick one grape, gently bite it open, and the sweet flavor fills your lips and teeth. That taste is what you call truly sweet."

Only when you have cultivated and tended them with your own hands do you understand that joy of harvest. Wang Wenjie put a lot of thought into building the orchard. Along the path under the grape trellises there is a row of fences, which he wove with his own hands, giving the orchard a more natural and leisurely feel. On weekends, Wang Wenjie returns to Qingdao to gather with friends and classmates, and the conversation often turns to the vineyard. Everyone wants to taste the grapes from the estate he manages. "It is almost September, and the Summer Black and rose fragrance varieties in the vineyard are riper and sweeter. By then the orchard will open, more visitors will come, and this place will be lively."

What is also a pleasant surprise is the guesthouse that accompanies the "Qingdao · Urban-Rural Dazeshan Grape Demonstration Orchard." The guesthouse is called "Ten Rooms," and here you will not find any standardized hotel service, only the cozy feeling of a "home away from home." The Ten Rooms guesthouse is located at the seat of Dazeshan Town Government in Pingdu, Qingdao, right next to Zeshan Road and close to the Dazeshan Scenic Area, with a total of 10 guest rooms.

The Ten Rooms guesthouse takes "home" as its theme concept, adopts a family guesthouse management model, and is staffed with service personnel to provide "host-style" service. Comfort has always been the pursuit of the Ten Rooms guesthouse, and the configuration of all facilities is aimed at this goal. Drinking tea, chatting, reading and painting let guests forget the fatigue of travel.
