The Dazeshan Grape Online Photography Contest Officially Launches in 2016
Another fine season has come around, and the grapes of Dazeshan Town in Qingdao are ripe. In the vineyards, patches of emerald green delight the heart, and each crimson berry is as sweet as honey. The Pingdu Municipal Government and the Dazeshan Town Government, together with the Pingdu Photographers Association and China Agricultural News Network, are launching an online photography contest. With the theme "Grapes of the World, Enchanting Dazeshan," this contest uses photographic works to showcase local folk customs, social development, natural scenery, environmental ecology, small-town construction and other varied subjects, presenting Dazeshan's rich history and culture, unique natural scenery and flourishing town-level industrial development through innovative concepts and precise lenses.
The photographic works shall take Dazeshan grapes or the Grape Festival as their related subject matter, and must closely follow the theme "Grapes of the World, Enchanting Dazeshan." The content shall be healthy and positive, fully displaying the beauty of Dazeshan's development, life, ecology and culture. Through the online photography contest, more people will come to know the history and development of this place.

Bronze Award: 15 works, prize is 1 box of "Red Face" or "Blue Face" ice wine
Participation Award: one fine gift
All winners will be issued award certificates.
Event notes
1. The organizers have the right to use the winning works, and have the right to use the winning works for related public display, publication, production, promotion and printing, etc., without paying the authors any additional remuneration.
2. All submitters are deemed to accept these rules; if works involve disputes over copyright, portrait rights, etc., the authors shall bear sole responsibility.
The "Online Photography Contest" includes 3 stages:
1. Online submission: works are collected via WeChat; submitted works shall be in jpg format, uniformly processed with the long side at 1000 pixels, with file size controlled within 3000KB, 1-10 works per person, and each work must indicate the title, photographer's name and contact information. For works without introductory information, the organizers will disqualify them from evaluation; contestants shall be the authors of the submitted works and hold independent, complete copyright over the works; submitted works shall not infringe upon the lawful rights and interests of third parties, including copyright, portrait rights, reputation rights, privacy rights, etc.;
2. Work review: the organizers and co-organizers of the online Grape Festival will screen the collected registration entries; submitting another person's photographic works under one's own name is not permitted.
3. Selection and confirmation: online voting will be organized from September 20 to 25, on-site expert judging and scoring will be organized on September 27, on September 30 the organizers will determine the winners based on the online vote counts and on-site judges' scores and announce them online, and on October 1 the prizes and certificates of honor for the "Grapes of the World, Enchanting Dazeshan" photography contest will be awarded.
Event content notes:
1. Registration method: send the contestant's name, contact information and 2 previous works to the email address: [email protected]; the registration deadline is August 31;
2. Photography pass: participating photographers will be uniformly provided with photography passes by the Dazeshan Town Government, allowing free entry to any scenic spot within Dazeshan Town; one photography pass can bring one car and 2 photographers, and the pass is valid until September 20;
3. Shooting locations: the photo shooting and location scouting addresses for this event are within Dazeshan; photographers please pay attention to safety and protect the scenic area environment;
4. Subsidy for selected works: for the photographic works finally selected, there will be a location-scouting subsidy of 100 yuan per work; the prizes and subsidies of this online photography contest shall all be collected at Gaoshi Manor at the specified time;
5. Number of works: each person's selected works shall not exceed 5;
6. Selection method: this online photography contest adopts a combination of online voting (30%) and expert judging (70%) to select the winning works.
