Can Umbrella Plant Take Sun? Key Points on Light and Care Explained
1. Light
It actually quite likes light, so we can keep it in a spot with good sunlight.
Generally speaking, the morning sunlight is quite good, and you can place it in the sun to enjoy it for a while, but at midday it is best not to let it be in direct sunlight, because the sun is relatively harsh at that time, so we can put it in a bright place at home, or take certain measures to shade part of the sunlight for it.
This plant can be grown both in water and in soil, but when growing it in water you need to be careful: giving it sun also speeds up water evaporation, so you need to replenish the water in time to meet its growth needs.
2. Points to Note
At different stages of its growth we cannot give it the same amount of sunlight; we should give it different durations of light according to its specific growth stage.
For example, during the seedling stage, we can only let it bask in the sun before 9:30 in the morning or after 3:30, otherwise it will become very fragile. During the growth period, we can let it receive sunlight except at midday, which can speed up its growth.
In addition, in winter it should also be placed in a sunny spot, and around Grain Rain it is best to let it stay in a place that is sheltered from the wind and yet can be cared for by sunlight.
