How to fertilize Arundina graminifolia? Master the correct fertilization method
1. Fertilization time
During the plant's growing period, fertilize about once every 10 days to 15 days, and a dedicated fertilizer can be used. Beginners in particular should not blindly mix their own fertilizer. If the plant is weak-growing or small, the interval can be appropriately extended. At other times, fertilization can be paused.
2. Fertilization method
Its fertilization is mainly foliar spraying, and watering fertilizer into the potting soil is not recommended. Each time you fertilize, it is better to be dilute than concentrated, following a "small meals, more often" approach. When spraying fertilizer, try not to do it around noon, or simply choose a time with no sunlight.
3. Precautions
During high summer temperatures and low winter temperatures, fertilization can be paused. During these periods its growth slows down, so its demand for fertilizer is also greatly reduced, and forcing fertilization may be harmful to its growth.
If you want to fertilize in the potting soil, be sure to keep away from the roots, or slowly pour it along the edge of the flower pot. However, only one method may be used, spraying or watering fertilizer. Never both water and spray fertilizer, otherwise it is very easy to cause harm to the plant.
PS: Aloe juice can be used as fertilizer. It does no harm to the plant at all, and can also prevent and control the occurrence of many pests and diseases. The nutrients in aloe juice are also very abundant, making it an excellent choice to replace flower fertilizer.
