How to grow lucky bamboo in soil? Teach you the correct soil cultivation method
1. Temperature
It likes 20 to 28 degrees Celsius the most, and under these conditions it can grow at its best and fastest. If you can create such an environment for it year-round, its leaves will certainly grow very green. Pay special attention that once winter comes, you must keep it warm, otherwise it is easily frostbitten. It does not like low temperatures, and if it drops below 5 degrees Celsius, it will stop growing, so in winter you should move it indoors.
2. Light
It prefers a semi-shaded environment, and if it is exposed to the sun, its leaves easily turn yellow. Although it has green leaves, it does not like the sun, so it is better suited to being placed indoors. If you keep this plant at home, do not assume it needs light and move it to the balcony to bask in the sun; this is something to pay special attention to.
3. Water
It is afraid of drought and has a relatively strong tolerance for waterlogging, so its potting soil should be kept in a moist state. If it is too dry, its leaves will turn yellow. Normally, it should be watered once every two to three days, and in winter the frequency can be reduced. In this step, be sure to note that it especially likes water, so you cannot only provide water to its roots; the leaves should also be misted from time to time so that the leaves grow green and become healthier and more vibrant. Also, frequently sprinkling water on the leaves will increase the humidity of the surrounding environment, so the leaves will not dry out and wither from being too dry.
4. Fertilizing
The best time to plant it in soil is from April to September, during which it is easier for it to take root. From May to September is its period of most vigorous growth, and you can add compound fertilizer to the soil every month, about two to three times a month, so that the leaves can become denser. It relatively likes fertilizer, so you should provide it with sufficient nutrients. You can buy organic fertilizer specially made for it on the market, and after dilution, water it once every fifteen days.
