How to select and cultivate golden oyster mushroom spawn?
Nowadays there are more and more delicacies on the dining table, and fungi foods are also very popular among the public. Fungi like the golden oyster mushroom sell quite well on the market; it is delicious, nutritious, and rich in protein. So how do you select golden oyster mushroom spawn? How do you cultivate it? Friends who want to know, read on below!
1. How to select golden oyster mushroom spawn?
When selecting golden oyster mushroom spawn, try to choose Yuhuang 83520 and Yuhuang No. 2, which have strong resistance to contamination and fast mycelial growth; the mushrooms grown from them are also of better quality and more delicious. Spawn can generally be purchased nearby; if it is not available locally, you can order it from a spawn factory in another area. It needs to be ordered in advance. It usually arrives by logistics delivery.
2. How to cultivate golden oyster mushroom?
1. Cultivation season
According to the temperature required for the differentiation and development of golden oyster mushroom fruiting bodies, in northern China it can be cultivated in autumn, winter and spring, while in southern China the autumn and winter seasons are better.
2. Cultivation form
Artificial cultivation of golden oyster mushroom includes three forms: raw material, fermented material and sterilized material. Because of its strong resistance to contamination and fast mycelial growth, raw material and fermented material cultivation are mostly used in China.
3. Culture material and stacking
Common formula one: 100 kg cottonseed hulls, 2 kg lime, material-to-water ratio 1:1.3-1.5; this formula can be used for raw material cultivation or fermented material cultivation. Common formula two: 70 kg corn cobs, 15 kg wheat bran, 15 kg decomposed chicken manure, 4 kg quicklime (lime quality varies from place to place, so the amount added can be slightly adjusted), 0.3 kg urea, 1 kg gypsum, with a moisture content of about 65 percent. The culture material pile should be 1 m high, 1.2-1.5 m wide, and of unlimited length. After building the pile, gently compact the surface of the material, then use a fairly thick wooden stick to make ventilation holes evenly from top to bottom through the pile, to avoid anaerobic fermentation. When the temperature at 20 cm inside the pile rises to about 65°C, maintain it for 12 hours and then turn the pile. When turning the pile, the culture material should be exchanged from top to bottom and from inside to outside, and mixed evenly. After the first turning, when the material temperature rises above 60°C again, maintain it for 1-2 days, then turn again, for a total of 3-4 turnings. When the corn cobs become dark brown and have a fermented aroma, fermentation is complete.
4. Spawn-running management
The temperature of the spawn-running site should not exceed 25°C, and the relative air humidity is best at 60%-70%. At the same time, pay attention to shading and ventilation. The shed temperature should be controlled below 28°C; if it exceeds 28°C, pay attention to spreading the piles to cool down or ventilating to cool down. One week after spawn running begins, check the mycelial germination. If the mycelium is found not to germinate, reseed; if a small amount of contamination is found, strengthen ventilation and cooling in the spawn-running room to control or inhibit the development of contaminants. If the temperature is too low, insulation and heating are also needed to ensure normal mycelial growth and development. Generally, the mycelium can fill the whole bag in 25-30 days.
5. Fruiting management
After the mycelium has filled the bags, maintain for another 3-7 days, and then fruiting management can begin. In production, mushroom wall fruiting management is mostly used, and the method of stacking the mushroom wall is the same as for oyster mushrooms. After the mushroom wall is built, water is poured on top of the wall, and the temperature of the mushroom house (shed) is kept at 15-20°C, with air humidity at 85%-95%. Increase the temperature difference, pay attention to ventilation, and provide a certain amount of scattered light stimulation. After about one week, mushroom buds will appear in large numbers. During the fruiting period, spray the ground and space of the cultivation site 2-3 times to increase humidity, and pay attention to ventilation to keep the air fresh. Golden oyster mushroom generally takes 8-10 days from budding to harvest.
Alright, that is all the content the editor wants to share with everyone. If you are thinking of growing golden oyster mushroom yourself to eat, you first need to choose spawn with strong resistance to contamination and fast mycelial growth; Yuhuang 83520 and Yuhuang No. 2 are both very good.
